One ear drooping? I just spoke to the breeder and she told me that one of Roxy's ears is drooping because she is teething and that it was normal. Is it? I've never heard of teething causing ears to droop. |
Other people on the board have said that having an ear drop is associated with teething. I think there was even a poll about this subject. When I first got Hercules, he had one ear up and one ear down. I actually thought it looked pretty cute though. Then both went up, then both down. Now both are up. If her ear(s) stay down and you want them up, you can always tape them in a way to train them to stay up. Another suggestion that has worked for some people is to shave the hair off the top of her ear. They hair can be too heavy sometimes and cause the ear to drop. Hope this helps some. |
Thank you bld2751! I was just concerned that it wasnt normal and that she was sick or something. I dont mind if they droop or stick straight up, Im just glad to hear that its normal. :D |
Oh yeah, it's ok and it doesn't mean she's sick or anything. As long as she's in good spirits when you get her, I'd think she's ok! I honestly thought Hercules looked adorable when one ear was up and one was down - it really gave him the sad, pathetic puppy look! Can't wait til you get your little girl!! |
Mojo's ears completely droped when he was teething...i was so scared, my breeder is in Brazil so i had only seen Mojo by pictures and i saw his ears were up, when he got here, for much of my surprise, it was down...i was so worried, but it went back up. |
Up and down My dog's ears went up and down. We never knew what was going to happen from day to day. They ended up standing straight up. She reminds me of a Gremlin. :) |
