Would you please send to us also? We have a 3 month old male and he does not nip me, and only growls when very very tired or when playing. But last night he nipped one of the kids. We have started saying NO! but I'm not sure what to do. I do NOT want him nipping the kids - I'm pretty sure he sees me as dominant to him but I'm almost as sure he does NOT see the kids the same way. The puppy was gifted to us, so we're kind of reeling trying to catch up. jamnkats at gmail dot com. Thanks so much! |

Help in Biting/Grawling at us......I am so desperate in need of help..... Hey I would love it sent to my email too. I am totally at my wits end with my little Buddy who is 18 weeks old and I have tried everything with him. Nothing works. I ignore him and put him in his pet pen for awhile. I do the stuff they teach at Petsmart we are in training now and it isn't working either which we had been trying for sometime before this training class. He gets into biting and it hurts so bad. Most of the time you can't get away from him he keeps on biting so hard it brings tears to your eyes. We walk him twice a day for 30 minutes we try playing with him and he plays so rough he will start biting us so hard and we stop playing with him. He will just come up to you and start biting on you for no reason. I am at the point of getting rid of him. I don't want to it will be hard but I just can't keep on with this and nothing changing with him. We are planning on getting him neutured real soon. Don't know if that will help any. The vet seemed to think so but I don't know. Any comments on this.....any help would be grately appreciated. He goes tomorrow for his rabbies shot and some other shot and then I think we are finished for awhile with the shots. When he bites he growls and I feel like sometimes or rather most of the times it might be aggressive because I don't think it is a playful bite at all. He plays really hard with his toys with growling and rough. We have never played rough with him either and we started training him as soon as we got him. So I don't know where we have went wrong. We got him at 8 weeks and I truly believe from what I have read that he was taken away too soon. I wish I could do it all over again and seen if she would've kept him until he was 12 weeks instead. Please any help out there. Susan |

Suzi liketo play bite wich is different from an agressive dog who does it to want to hurt .. However, she has sharp teeth! Also she woll growl only when she sees aomething out of the ordinary before she barks.... She's not trying to be aggresive or nasty, but still does it. Now she is considered an adult at nearly 12months. I'd like a copy of the book! Does it cover chewing on clothes your wearing? mscat36@sbcglobal.net thanks! |

I sent you a PM with my e-mail I would so love a copy of that book. Hugs |
my boy loved to play when little but never became aggresive, i wouldn't even play fight if my boy got overly aggressive. You defianlty have to nip this in the bud. All puppies are not overly aggressive. I also recommend watching Dog Whisper or Its me and the DOG, they deal with alot of animals that are aggressive and how to put a stop to it. :D |

I think I need a copy of this also. I will pm you. We have a 4 year old yorkie who was rescued 6 months ago. When we adopted her we were told she nipped at children. Thankfully she has never done that. BUT... recently she has been aggressive/fear biting at people she doesn't know who try to pet her... or walk away from her. Last week she nipped at 3 different adults and we are trying everything to get it taken care of. It is really an issue with people she doesn't know as she has NEVER tried to bite me or my husband and once she is in contact with people on many occasions she is very good. my MIL is even now able to put her on a leash and take her for walks. We need all the help we can get! |
