hmm strange PupsForSale How does a breeder really know how much the yorkie will weigh when full grown?? Do they just assume because of the parents? or just guesstimate?? |

By the way, nearly all byb's say the dogs will be 4-5 pounds, they know this is what people want. |
I think good breeders will tell you they cannot really know & guarantee adult weight. I would think that based on experience, parents weight & the growth weight of the pup, they can make a good guess. |
Yeah I think most of them just say a smaller size because they know they will sell faster....hmm I dont know much about breeding, I dont really like it...well I am torn b/c I would never have gotten peanut if there wasnt breeding going on, but I just dont respect the people that breed and breed their females over and over..thats sad, and its more than the pupp mills because the byb's do that to!! |

I don't know how anyone could surrender a yorkie because it got too big. Don't you think they would have bonded and formed an attachment to the dog? I know that Baby Bonnie will be bigger than I thought she would be, but at only 4 months old, I couldn't part with her. I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder.:) |

I know!! When I got peanut the lady I got her from said that he should be about 3-4lbs (he is 4) when I saw him he was about 2 months and he was to the T what I wanted:) but months went by his legs got longer and longer and I was like hmmm he might be bigger-taller. but by that time I didnt care if he was going to be 10lb or whatever I already loved him sooo much... he still does have longer legs than most yorkies, but thats what makes him my peanut. I loved him the minute I saw him, but some people I swear, I wish there was some screening when people get animals ANYWHERE!! That way there is no mistreated animals, living on the streets.or in animal control... |

I agree...I wish there were a way to stop people who don't love their pets unconditionally from obtaining anything but a stuffed animal. |
I totally agree with all of you. We don't give up our skinbabies for adoption if they dont conform to our size standards:mad: Personally I didnt even ask what the expected size of my little guy would be I didnt care I just knew he had already stolen my heart:animal36 |

:luvu: you have it backwords... I am lucky to have peanut :hearts33: |
I got told my baby would be much bigger on her mother, just because her dad is bigger, and she had the 'features' of her dad. Much to their disappointment she has turned out to be spitting image of her mother, smaller in fact!!! xXx |
