Just Bought A New Puppy; But Missing Coty For those of you that have followed my story about losing Coty, I have just bought a male puppy from Beth Veselka (www.treasureboxyorkies.com), a YT member! He is absolutely gorgeous and I love him already. We're picking him up after the Labor Day Holiday because we're going out of town. It's so ironic how small the world is. The father of this puppy is owned by a woman breeder that I am buying another Yorkie puppy from in October. The stud's name is Tyson, which is also the name of my 14.5 yr. old Yorkie-Poo! (Didn't know any of this until after I bought the puppy from Beth). As excited as I am, why do I feel a little melancholy today? Am I betraying Coty? Honest to God, I haven't given up on finding him. He can never be replaced, but in the back of my mind I feel like I'm letting him down. My friends and family said that I will probably find Coty now that we've added another brother for him. Am I nuts? Anyway, pray for me and Coty. We have decided to name the 2 new baby boys Jagger (no, not after Mick) and Adonis. And of course, I will bombard you all with pics of the new brood as soon as they arrive at their new home (where they will be treated royally!!). Thanks for listening! |
Congratulations on the new pup. Don't be hard on yourself, you are not betraying Coty. Hopefully you will find Coty soon and I know he will love his new brothers. Can't wait to see pics of the new pups. |
Congrats on the new puppy! |

I agree. He will always be in your heart but a new puppy will give you such joy. I can't imagine how you feel as I have never has to suffer like you but I think you are a strong person for feeling the way you do! I think it is perfectabley normal! I cannot wait to see pics of your babies! |
tartisst: CONGRATS on the new addition to your family. I don't think you are betraying Coty at all! You will always remember him and his little Yorkie antics and if he is found, he'll be happy to have a baby brother to boss around when he gets home! :) |
congrats on your new baby. i'm sure you must be missing coty terribly!!! its totally natural to be feeling this way, you don't have to give up on coty because you got another dog, now instead when he comes home, he will have another brother. i will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers. |
Tia, Congrats on your new puppy, he is a cutie. I still have faith Coty will be back with you. He will be so excited to have a baby brother. |
I am happy to hear you are getting a puppy! What you've been going through in your search for Coty...the "not knowing" must be such a stressful and helpless feeling. You so deserve to have this little puppy to give you some happiness and I will be hoping and praying your Coty will return to you also! Best wishes to you! |
Congratulations on your new family. You're not being unfair to Coty, I'm sure he misses you as much as you miss him. You'll always remember him no matter how many other dogs you have, and with some help from all our prayers you'll find him soon. |
 Another can never replace the empty spot in our heart. They can give us love unconditionally and help heal. God Bless and I hope Cody finds his way home. love Maggie. |
