This just does not make sense. I would sleep with them all next to me for warmth...anything it took.

oh sad... I woulda slept with them myself or like someone said, put them in a sling against my body heat or something.

I agree with everyone else. I am no expert but I have read somewhere that the different colored yorkies sometimes have genetic problems. I would get a breeder you can trust.

I am appalled that she let this happen. We had a severe ice storm two weeks ago and our power was out for six days. I have seven yorkies. I'm sure they got colder than the usual since I keep my house on 70 but Even when I was freezing, my little dogs were warmer than me. My dogs were my priority.

If I were you I would look elsewhere for your right puppy. As a breeder we are suppossed to be looking out for the dogs and puppies well being first and foremost. It sure is sad to hear that this breeder lost not one but 2 puppies from carelessness. Power outage or not there are ways to keep them warm, there's just no excuse for it imo! What a sad loss.

With no power she still had blankets didn't she? It seems to me all the pups would have cuddled together to stay warm and she could have wrapped them in blankets to hold in the body heat. If she had a gas stove she could have warmed water and put it in a non leaking container wrapped in a cloth and let the pups cuddle it to stay warm. I would have wrapped them up and carried them around or lay down with them to give them my body heat before I let them die. Something doesn't sound right.

Also, no, you do NOT want a chocolate yorkie! That is an abnormality - not some rare color - do not let this woman trick you. Run.

There are good breeders here on Yt. Do your research. I pray you have not loss money with this so called breeder

It is strange you know? I live in kentucky and we had an awful Ice Storm and power went out for many people for several days. As soon as I realized it wasn't coming on, I hopped in car with all animals in tow and got a hotel room. I was there until electric came back on. There is no excuse for this, find a different breeder and get your money back . Since joining Yorkie Talk my eyes have really been opened!!! :eek::eek:
