YAY!! I finally figured it out....my god...you see now why i became a nurse rather than a detective. Good lord that was painful ...my brain hurts now LoL |
:p you guys are cute! |
Oh, too cute. I did my detective work and figured it out. :p |
Brenda, all of your babies are special...and whom ever the new Daddy is...he is one new LUCKY yorkie owner. :) We all look forward to meeting the new "Daddy" and seeing pics of his little Star. |
What a lucky guy he is, (whoever he is ). She is way too cute!! |
Star is beautiful! 'Daddy' is very lucky :D xxx |
Star is super cute! Her new owner is very lucky! |
I'm her new dad! Hi everyone! My name is Gray, and I first joined YT over 3 years ago (December '05). I have been learning, and thinking about taking this step for all of this time. The MOST valuable thing that YT provided me with, was the ability to locate Breny!!! After the FIRST visit to her website, and reading even just the first couple of posts from new owners who had gotten their Yorkie pups from Breny, there was never a doubt in my mind, that she would be the mom from whom we would be obtaining our Yorkie! So a few Friday nights ago, I somewhat nervously picked up the phone, and introduced myself to Breny. We talked for a long time, but after only a few minutes, I knew that I had made the right decision as far as who to adopt our new baby girl from! Breny knew just the right questions to ask, in order to guide me toward the new little girl who would be the absolute BEST match for us! By the end of that first phone call, we were on our way!!! My wife and I became empty-nesters in August. She has been a little hesitant on taking this significant step (it has been many years since we owned a Cairn terrier mix who was THE spitting image of Toto!). I have reassured her that our new little daughter will not impinge on our new-found travel freedom ( you can't go away by yourselves with a teenager in the house, as I am sure some of you know!), because I bought this wonderful little carrier, and we will just take her with us everywhere! I will be taking point on training, feeding, trips to the vet, etc., but there is not a doubt in my mind that the moment my wife lays eyes on our little girl, she will fall as madly in love with her as I already have!!! I mean, look at the pictures Breny has been so kind to provide - how could you not??? If we hadn't had this out-of-country trip planned for the last year, we would have likely already picked her up. However, March 7th will be exactly 12 weeks from her birthday, and from what I have been reading, that time in her birth surroundings, and with her birth mom, looks to be about the ideal time, so I think everything is working out close to ideally! I will tell you her name when we pick her up - I don't THINK it will change between now and then, but that way, just in case it does, there won't be any confusion! I am looking forward to documenting everything, starting right from Breny's house, through our 6 hour ride home (well, more with frequent pit stops!), to our little girl's new digs. So I guess I better learn how to post pics! Thank you so much for all the wonderful compliments on our new little girl - it is certainly a wonderful testimony to Breny's breeding choices and abilities, but far more than that, to the LOVE she showers on her new little puppies, the wonderful food she feeds them (which I am totally continuing her on, BTW), and the wonderful home she provides them with for these first critical months of their lives! It is amazing to me how attached I have become already - my heart melts every time I look at her pictures, and into those beautiful clear and dark little eyes! I feel very blessed that everything has come together the way it has, and I am really looking forward to providing a wonderful life for our little girl! Talk with you soon - Gray |
Awwww, that was just beautiful:) You are going to be a wonderful daddy!! |

aww hes wonderful! |
Hi Gray. I was touched by your post. I have Breny's first baby, Jersey. And Jersey was 2 in December and she's a happy and healthy little girl. Not only does Breny have awesome pups...she is truly a friend. She's been wonderful to me and my Daisy (she didnt come from Breny) she has helped me with ANY questions I have had no matter what day or time it is. So be prepared to also get a wonderful friend who will be there ALWAYS for her babies (and us too). I'm sure a few other people can comment on that as well. You wont be disappointed and your wife will be crazy in love with your new baby girl. Good luck with your new baby girl and cant wait to see her grow up here on YT. :congrats: Dana, Daisy & Jersey :aimeeyork |

Welcome Gray!! We are soooooooooo excited that you are getting one of Breny's little babies!! You will just love her to pieces!!! I have Meiah(a retired breeder) from Breny and we know that Brenda loves all her babies so much!!! Can't wait to hear all about the pickup, new name and following her through your posts and pictures!!! |
Thank you ALL so much! For all of your kind words in response to my post... And Brenda, thank YOU for tonight's picture! She is so incredibly cute, I just love looking at her! I tried to add a picture to my profile, when I post this we'll see if it worked! I also just wanted to say, that the more extensively I explore this site, the more I realize what a truly amazing group of people populate YT. The caring of so many people for each other, and for those who are going through difficult times, and for the plight of those who are sick, or injured or deceased, whether they have 2 legs or 4, is incredibly special. I truly feel that there is a closeness here that is almost synonymous with family, and I am so glad that we are joining you all here! - Gray |
No picture! I guess I have to go back to "creating my avatar" school! |
Avatar test It helps to add an AVATAR, not just a picture, if you want an AVATAR!! |

What beautiful coloring on that little girl Gray is adopting. He sounds like he is going to be a wonderful father. Breny, how far are you from Aurora, Illinois? I wish I would have known about you when I was looking for my new little girl. |

Aurora to Breny's House: Is about 374 miles, and almost exactly 6 hours travel time. And it looks like it is highway pretty much all the way. So a simple overnight, or a pretty long single day trip! It is also supposed to take just about 6 hours from Barrington. Thank you again, Breny for the most recent pics! I have saved them, and am circulating to some friends and business associates who are almost as excited as I am about our new little girl!!! Thank you once again for the compliment - it is certainly my plan to be the best possible dad for Star!!! I can't tell you how excited I am to come meet her! I smile every time I think about her, so I pretty much am walking around with a smile on my face non-stop these days!!! Gray |
Don't worry about the drive when I picked up Bella from Breny we had a 800 mile drive home to Northwest Iowa and she was such a little trooper. She did not complain at all, and since she slept most of the way we did not have to make too many pit stops. I am sure Star will be just as good on the way home. :congrats: |
Oh, she could be a little leprechan(sp) and bring her new daddy good luck! |
The Good Luck I've already had... ...was to first find this website, and through it, to find Breny, who has to be, for us, the ideal Yorkie breeder. And then, for Breny to help us select the one puppy who she thought would be the best match, and for us to be so completely happy and excited with our choice, to me it just can't get any better! That is until we meet her on Saturday, March 7th! So I already feel not only very lucky, but truly blessed! And thank you for relating your 800 mile drive experience! I was planning on stopping at least once every hour for a pitstop, but it sounds like we MAY be able to go a little longer than that. We will have a dinner break in there, so that may result in some quicker back-to-back stops! No matter what it turns out to be, I am looking forward to a happy adventure! Gray |
We drove 250 miles to get my baby girl. She pretty much slept all the way home. Don't know if anyone has heard of a town in Illinois called Olney (I think that's how it's spelled). That's where I got Abby. |
Congratulations Gray!!! She is certainly a little doll baby. I can't wait to see more pics and find out her name! |
Congrats on your new baby girl:) |
