I feel awful :( I was playing with Lucas yesterday and when I was feeling his legs I realized that right near the skin his hair is all matted!! I feel awful for not noticing sooner, because I brush him every day and don't know how I missed that! I managed to work out the tangles on his back legs with my fingers while he was sleepy, but I'm finding the front legs much harder. What would be the most effective way of getting these tangles out without having to cut his hair??? Wet hair? dry hair? |
Wet hair and a good detangler. Missy's legs knot up too. I think it's because she never stops moving ;) |
aww..don't feel bad!! It's ok! I searched and someone on here recommended using cornstarch on matts, they say it works really well. If you don't have a detangling spray try some conditioner, maybe water it down, and just work it in and work on the matts a little at a time..hope this helps! |
Oh don't feel bad...it happens to all of us. Damp hair is the best, and you can try corn starch to help loosen the matts. Otherwise you might try some type of detangler. |
Thanks! One more quick question, how much cornstarch would I use?? And is there any kind of dry conditioner I could use? Just beause Lucas is not a fan of baths AT ALL and he is also due for a nail clipping  Any way I can save my arms? Hehe |
I use Ice on Ice Detangler. If I don't have that, I will sometimes use my kids spray in detangler, or make a solution in a spray bottle with conditioner diluted probably about a 1:10 ratio. As far as the nail clipping, treats and praise! |
