At the risk of sounding totally ignorant because I am on this topic! I've read the donation thread and still don't get it. Sometimes I wonder if my brain cells are shrinking or what...LOL Here's my problem: I have a PayPal account...have used it often. However, every time I have used it, someone has already sent a bill or invoice so that all I have to do is confirm the payment after I sign in. I have absolutely no clue how to make a donation just out of the blue. I would have put this in the donation thread but it said closed. It would be great if there was a link to click on to give $25, $50, etc. for people like me who want to donate but whose computer skills are prohibitive. Thanks, TOY |
I think you should be able to go to your Paypal & enter the email address donations@yorkietalk.com & select how much you want to donate. :) FROM PAYPAL WEBSITE Pay anyone with an email address or phone number - instantly. Send money to family and friends. Pay for goods and services. PayPal is the secure, free, easy way to pay - and privacy is built in. With PayPal, you choose how to pay online. |
I think on Paypal you go to "send money" then it has a part where you put the e-mail addy of the person you're wanting to send money to and you put the e-mail of YorkieTalk there (it should be on the donate post). Also, I think you have to tell who you are in the message box on Paypal whenever you send the money through. Let me know if I can still help! |
Lucyaboo and EmilyAnn, thank you both for your directions and encouragement. I had never even seen the tabs that say things like "send money." My only interaction with the site has been ebay or donation through an icon button on site. Evidently, my other interactions had automatically carried me beyond the page that gives those first options. Thank you both for your responses. With your guidance, it wasn't hard at all! |

Some of these things are so confusing until we do them for the first time. Glad you were able to figure it out. By the way, don't forget to add your Yorkietalk user name in the place on paypal where it says, "Notes." give your name, and say what the money is for. If you forgot to do this, just PM admin, this happened to me. :D |
