My New Puppy::Toby I FINALLY got the puppy I have been wanting & waiting for. His name is Toby. He is 2 months old & weighs 1.13pounds. We had our first doctor visit today. Everything went alright for the most part. Except he has COCCIDIA. The doctor assured me this actually very common in puppys & perscribed Toby Albon Suspension. & said that he should be all cleared up in 5days. So I decided to take him back there in a week for a follow up appointment. I am VERY excited. & would love to get ALL of the adivce that I can from Every One here. Toby gets to go on a shopping spree tomorrow, & pictures will be up then as well. Thank You all for all of your much needed advice so far. XOXO, Jayden & Toby |
Congratulations!!! Glad your puppy checked out OK. The Albon should take care of it but I think it is a good idea that you are rechecking again in a week. |
He's very playful..He made his very first potty NoNo..a few minutes ago..LoL.. i am having a hard problem getting him to eat..He drank the water..But only like the food..Why is that?? He hasn't eaten at all since I have had him. Which has been since 1pm |
CONGRATULATIONS!!! Yes, I guess it is common the coccidia. Nolee had when I got him also. It was treated and everything was fine! Best of Luck! |
I am new to Yorkie talk, and also to having a Yorkie. My TOBY is 4 months old and in the vet ICU. he was to have a routine neuter op yesterday. He did not because he went into cardiac arrest after the anesthesia was administered. I can give you three pieces of advice. #1 Is for you to have a bile acid test and routine labs done as soon as you can afford them. They will give you piece of mind and you will have a baseline if you should ever need ore extensive testing. If the labs are not an option right now, at the very least, have them done at least 1 week prior to any surgery. #2 Do not allow your furbaby to get any anesthesia that is not given via a mask. I do not know if I will lose my baby over this, but I can tell you that I am heart broken. I have dreamt of having a baby like this for most of my life. I have only had him for 4 months. #3 If you have any doubts or questions about anything YORKIE , post on Yorkie Talk. :) |
