any advice? Can someone please give me some reasons why Kallie's left ear is now down. Her ears have been up since she was a baby and then after she had her puppies last summner, her one ear started falling. It went back up for about a month and now it has been down for a bout 3 months now. The vet thinks I am crazy to care about her ear but I am concerned something could be wrong... Any suggestions??? Any thoughts on why only one would drop???:) |
My Jewels ear did the same thing when she was a young pup. It is normal for them to drop when they are teething. I think it took a couple of weeks for Jewels' to go up |
same thing happened with lexi... they both were up, then one fell , then went up, then the other fell down.. drove me nuts.. they both are up now |
Well she is almost 2 yrs old. Is it normal at her age? Or could she have an infection? |

No she hasn't been scratching, there is no odor and the vet won't even return my call...Her hair grows slowly and it has not gotten long enough to weigh her ear down.. I think I will find another vet to take me seriously... |
She may need more calcium. |
It doesnt mean anything is wrong but you just dont know. When chachi had an ear infection he didnt display any behavior that led me to believe he had it. I had him at the vet for an unrelated concern and the vet caught it |

Ok, I'm off my soapbox now. I agree with some others, I think it could be a calcium issue. |
My one mom had this happen whenever she had a litter or was pregnant. The ear always came back up again |
