What is your favourite bonding time? What is your favourite bonding time with your Yorkie? Mine is when I brush Pao's fur. He will run to me when he sees his comb in my hands. I also love it when he stares at me lovingly when I am busy doing some thing :). What is yours? |
Working full time I read it was so important to set time aside for you and your Yorkie to make up for the time lost during the day. I sit on the floor with Buddy from 6:30 - 7:00 am playing with him, training or just cuddling but it's his time. We have been doing this for 4 1/2 yrs. It's our bonding time and we both enjoy it. He eats breakfast and runs to our spot from habit. :p |
every night at about 10:00ish I turn the lights down and I say is, nite-nite and he (and Maggie most of the time) will jump up and go to sleep. I love just stroking them. |
With Jewels it is at night when I go to bed. She follows me up and its just her and me on the bed and we have cuddling and kisses time. With Chachi it is in the afternoon when I play ball with him |
At night when we go to bed.....but also in the morning..they are cuddly...My girls are not morning dogs...lol...they love to sleep in.... |
Mine is around 730 when I get home and situated... after getting comfy in pjs. I lay on the couch with my down comforter and Maddy will come jump in my lap and watch some TV with me, then take a nap :) |
what a great thread. Layla doesn't sleep in bed with me- but when my parents are away I'll sleep upstairs in their King bed which leaves enough room for Layla's crate to be ON the bed- and in the morning i'll open her crate and say- Do you want to come sleep with Mommy- and she'll come right up next to me- this obviously doesn't happen daily so when it does happen i just LOVE it. Also RARELY she will come and have a nap right on my lap- i LOVE that too. As for a daily thing- I love taking her out of her crate in the morning- she is NOT a morning person and hates getting out of bed but i'll brin gher on the couch- and she still has her pj's on and she will let me hold has as long as i want :D |
I've got quite a few: playtime going for walks resting/sleeping I guess I can pretty much say anything that I do with my furbaby I consider bonding time. |
I agree what a neat thread..hmmm..several with Izzy: Always during training..from the day I got her we started the training and that has bonded us greatly..along with being a therapy dog. Combing time - especially when I comb her face and kiss her nose.yup they look at you so lovingly and close their eyes while getting groomed. At night around 9:30pm she is ready to snuggle while I watch TV and I stroke her all over..I don't know who gets more out of it..her or me..hahaha!:D |
I love taking Thor to the park. He looks happier there than he does anywhere else. When I call him back to me, he runs over as fast as his little legs can carry him so he can get his treat. Also, this is a little weird, but sometimes after hours I play "chase" with him in my office. I'll growl at him and he takes off running around the cubicles. He hides somewhere and when I find him, I growl and he takes off and again. That's the only time he gets the full happy-dog-tongue-hanging-out-of-the-mouth expression. It's sooooooo cute. His whole face looks different. I keep meaning to bring my camera so I can imortalize it. |
bonding time with lexi is probably in the middle of the night or early morning when lexi comes into bed with me and snuggles close into my body.. we hold hands and we both fall back to sleep... its great..such a beautiful feeling. |
Every morning! That's our "cuddle" time, lol. He always waits for me to open my eyes and when he sees my eyes, he immediately comes over and curls up in my arms and lets me rub his belly, and gives me kisses! |
When we cuddle up in bed together. |
Ours is in the morning when we first wake up. |
Ours is bedtime, everyone gives us nosebumps, cuddles with me and Dan, puppies are in the puppy pen next to my bed, and Itzi, Abbi, and GeeGee all sleep next to me. |
