went out the door Omg Callie got out the front door when my grandpa was leaving to go to the store and he unlocked the door when he realized she was out there and told her to get back inside....... Well we have taught her to stay back from the door when it opens and closes because if she got out the door she would run and not come back (even tho in the house and the fenced yard she come when called) well drum roll please....... she came back in when he told her too :D she got lots and lots of treats! |
I am very glad Callie came back when called ! I was scared something bad was going to happen. YAY for CAllie:D |
whew...one of my biggest fears is one of ours getting out the front door. Glad it all worked out well for you. What a good girl to come back when called. |
Hip, hip horray for Callie. Now she has to teach that to Buddy:p What a good girl she is. |
I'm going to have to do some serious training for my two guys .... as soon as I'm by the door they're jockeying for position :thumbdown |
You most of been so happy when she came back. My Cookie would do the same thing but probably not come back. We've been trying to train her but shes just too hyper. All I got to do is just keep trying to train her. |
I'm still going to be extra careful with the door because next time she might not come back and people drive way to scary fast in my neighborhood. |
lexi comes back when called except if she see an animal, then she goes deaf, and does whatever she wants.. still have to be careful, ya never know what these little ones are thinking |
So glad she listened and she came back safely. |
I'm glad she came back. That does deserve lots of treats. |
I'm so glad too. I have the same problem as soon as the door opens shes there.Shes pretty well trained indoors.Outside is a different matter. We can be walking along and she thinks everyone should stop and stroke her, mind you most do . I don't blame them shes my:littleang |
I have a couple of door crashers too. Luckily we have a big screened in porch on the front of the house so if I have one run out the door they are stopped by the screen door. I am glad your grandpa saw her before he drove off. So many times it just takes one time of getting out to end in tragedy. |
:bravo:Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!! (Thank God he came back.) |
What a GOOD GIRL! |
We don't have a fence but we had 3 acres and are up WAY high from the road on a big hill. For the first month, I would take Jackson out on the leash just to teach him to stay close. Well, I started letting him outside without a leash with my mom's dog and Jackson does very well.... he goes outside, does his business, plays around a bit (I'm usually watching from inside through the window) and then comes back to the door. The main way for me to get him back inside when I call is to say "Come get a treat!" and he comes FLYING! lol. |
