i really REALLY want him to sleep with us and my bf is fine with it also but our bed is really high.. he wont be able to get up and down to pee and im afraid hell jump off in the night and roam the house:thumbdown one time he jumped off and thank god we have carpeting he was fine but scared me to death.. now when i put him on the bed during the day im trying to teach him to stay away from the edges.. now he stands back and streches his body to see over lol so cute but if he doesnt get big enough im going to have to get those doggie stairs.. this stinks i want him to sleep with me! any suggestions?

adorame, i have tried putting it on a platee, all different kindss of plates:rolleyes: lol no luck! he is also really picky about his food so the pieces have to be really tiny and he pick and choose which ones he wants.. we did find one thing that works! if we take his little gorrilla toy which and put it near the food dish and act like hes eating the food prince will run over and start to eat lol its the funniest thing but it works!! just very time consuming.. i hope one day i can just put the food down and watch him eat it ALL:D

& thanks for all the complimentss:) the yankee jacket i got in manhattan, it was just a little hut on the street in the village with alll types of jerseys and jackets and cute clothes for dogs.. they did give me a card with the website ill have to look for it & let you know!

But unless you wanna be sleeping outside of his pen for the next two years I would suggest you let him cry a little bit

Puppies love to be with us .... we are their protection their source of food
and play but it's important that we make them somewhat self-sufficient
so they can go to sleep ... stay for a few hours at a time and be able to content themselves
otherwise you start getting separation anxieties and neurotic behaviors as adults
Every puppy will cry for a while when you put them in bed
but soon they quiet down and fall asleep
He's just being a little puppy ....

NewYorkieLover gave really good advice. It is soooo hard to not give in...they are so cute. With us, sometimes we win, most of the time Prince wins!!
