Birthday Report from Party Central...
 

So we had Gracie Ruth's 1st Birthday Party on Sunday. :Birthday3 Her whole family came. G's grandma Lissette(Manolos Mom) came and brought G's mom, Lola, dad, Manolo, and her brother and sister from the second litter, Pablo & Pepper. We have the other boy from the 2nd litter, Yogi. Cynthia(CBG) brought G's litter mates Bella & Chewie. Her friend Biscuit came, too. And of course our Boo was also in on the fun. She had invited 3 other friends, but they couldn't make it. :(

It was so crazy to see a house full of Yorkies. Oh my word, what fun we had. The weather was nice enough to leave the backdoor open and they all ran in and out playing with each other and toys to their hearts content. I made yummy Chili and a cake for the parents and a yummy dog-friendly Birthday Cake for the Wild Bunch. :cake4: And apparently it was VERY yummy as we couldn't hardly pull them away from it.

Gracie got some wonderful presents and being the good girl that she is, she is sharing the toys and treats with Yogi and Boo. :p

I was, pardon the pun, sick as a dog all day Sun. :eek: Just soooo unfair! But DH stepped up and did a good job of being The Hostess With The Mostest! He got G dressed, got the food set out, greeted everyone and made sure things ran smoothly. All and all it was a great day.

G was a bit put out when everyone had to leave. Party girl wasn't done partying! :cheer: But as soon as the last one was out the door and DH and I had sat down on the sofa she was out for the count for the rest of the day. :dogzzz: Yogi and Boo were right behind her too. I think I finally found something that will complete wear them out. However, it knocked US out too. :asleep:

I was able to take a few pictures between bouts of sickness. Not near as many as I was hoping for. But you work with what ya got, right.

:bravo: Daddy DID do a fabulous job! I'm very "Martha Stewart" when it comes to hosting and parties and had so much planned for G's very first Birthday. DH knew I felt horrible, as it would have to be a near deathbed experience to keep me from the party. He did his best to be "Martha" for me and I just have to say he did a bang up job! I am very blessed. :heart to

Oh Teresa, How cute are all those Yorkies. Do you own all of them...Smile. Can you imagine.They all loved that cake you made. You will have to share the recipe with everyone.

If I owned all 10 I'd be in the poor house for sure!! Because I just couldn't stand going to work and leaving them every day. And I don't think DH could afford a wife AND 10 kids. :D Thanks for coming and bring your brood, it really made the day extra special to have you all there.
