Ahh!! Bailey is a little sicko!!!! OMG its horrible, its SICK, its disturbing.... Bailey ate his poop!!! I was sat in the living room doing my hair and bailey came running in from the hall where his puppypad is... he had something in his mouth IT WAS BROWN and i was looking at it thinking whats that  untill in one glup he swallowed it, its only then i knew what it was and i said ''bailey noooo'' i ran in to the hall where yep he had done a poo poo. i cleaned it up but its made me feel so sick!! I have no idea why he done this, he has never done it before?? I am shocked and am wondering will he do it again? He is over a year old i thought only puppies did this? Has anyone else got a little stinker who eats there poo? He has never done this before i dont know why he did it. I put some food down in case he was feeling hungry and of course he ate it so i hope now he does not do it again eeeek!! xx |
LOL ... yes it is gross but lot's of dogs do it Put some pineapple in his food ... it'll make his poop taste bad to him and train him with "Leave it" ... so if you see him going to it or Yuk  with it in his mouth  He'll drop it right there for you |
Yep. Seems to be quite common. There have been lots of threads concerning poo eating.:D:D:D Not too pleasant. I have one that will do the eating poo bit. She was into that before we got her. She came from a puppy mill and had a horribly infected mouth. There isn't any way that she could have been eating the dry dog food that was set out. The vet seems to think that eating other dogs' poo was the only way she survived as long as she did. She was skin and bones when we got her.....not even 2 lbs. at 9 mo. Now she weighs hopefully 3 lbs. She did drop below after her recent surgery.:( Feeding her all the time hoping she'll gain weight. Sorry, that your baby did this. It is gross, but not uncommon. ~Joanne~ |
Have to laugh! I know its gross but have seen my little one try it when we first got her. After giving my worst stern voice "YUCK", she seemed to stop it. But boy I remember the first time she did it.....I was totally freaked out! |
yeah been there and done that:eek: if Tyke goes on the pee pad and we don't see he has to go out he'll do that if we don't catch him in time. I think in his case he is trying to hide it because all the times he goes outside he never even smells it. so his is all in his head.......lol:D |
Maybe it's because he pooped in the hallway and he was trying to clean it up for you ;) |
:yelrotflmWelcome to the "and now you want to kiss me with that mouth club?"..:Puppy2:.apparently it is very common!!! My little sweetie will do it too!! |
I'm sorry ..I don't mean to laugh but that title line cracked me up :D Chloe hasn't done it ( atleast that I have seen ) She will sniff it if it's on her pad and then look at me ...so who knows what is going through that devious little mind of hers :p |
HAHA i now wont let bailey come near my face with his poo breath lol, my friend came round 2day, the minute he walked in the house i was sorting something and was locking up the font door, as i walked in the kitchen bailey was in his arms saying hello. I asked him ''urm has bailey licked your face?'' he said ''yeah why, can u tell'', i said ''oh no its ok... tho he did eat a poop 2day'' haha he put bailey on the floor and started splashing his face with water HAHA now that made me laugh :) |
Gizmo does that sometimes and my vet said to use meat tenderizer and sprinkle it on his food. She said there's no flavor to it and once it goes through their bodies it makes the poo very bitter. There is a brand just made for dogs to use but I can't remember what its called. |
LOL im just glad mine have not had that urge to do so! |
I'll tell you what is even more worse.... When i first got Suzi and let her play outside she would find other poo and eat that:eek: I think it was mostly cat poo, but how disgusting! She is 10 months old, and has not done that in a long while, thankfully ! I did watch a eposoide of It's Me Or The Dog and the family had 5 Pugs.Every single one of them were poo eaters. It was absolutely discusting! The people were instructed to clean the poo right up exactly when it happened to break them of this habit. A hard thing to do with so many of them doing it. they also would put a little garlic in their food to stop the desire of poo eating. |
