Little Yorkie, Huge BARK ! My Suzi is all of a sudden becomming more vocal:eek: Today, was the very first time she scared a person away who was coming to our front door!!!! I saw the individual though the window and Suzi went crazy. SHe has the loudest, most alarming bark ! I older kid was right at our front door, and turned around without even knocking.... I wonder if he would have knocked if he knew our pup is a full 7lbs , LOL . How many others have a loud , scary , little barker? The funny thing about Suzi is that she loves people. :aimeeyork |
My Mike is my alarm dog .... He's a little guy but he packs a big wallop in the voice dept He also has a specific alarm bark That sounds like of like a beagle's bark |
LOL they do have loud barks for being such a small dog dont they. Chachi has a deep bark and Jewels has a high pitched annoying bark |
Heh, that's why my 3-pounder is called THOR! He may be the size of a kitten, but he has a thunderous bark. He's not afraid to use it, either. |
:p LOL, they certainly CAN be loud, can't they? Then when you put 2 or 3 together, well there's no quieting them either. My little 4 1/2 lb Toby can bark quite loud. If he wants your attention, well unless you want to listen to non-stop repetitive barks, you'd better give in to him. Halle @ 6+ lbs. can also bark loud, but when she barks her "excited to see you" bark, like when I get home from work, well, let's just say if she kept it up for too long, she'd be shattering some windows! Very shrill & high pitched. Gotta love her!:p I think all yorkies can be loud barkers, & Lucky is no exception. He will bark at people he sees out the window or at the door, but he is also a follower, chiming in with the other two when he really doesn't know what he's barking at.:D:D |
Mine has two different barks depending on what he wants or sees. He has this high pitched bark when the doorbell rings, hears anyone come through the front door, sees cats or birds in the back yard or he hears my DH in the garage working on his motorcycle (personally I think he just wants to hang out with my DH in the garage doing man stuff). Then he has this low sound woof bark he does when he wants someone to pick him up and put him on the couch (mind you he can jump up there but is sometimes lazy and thinks we should be at his beck and call), he does this at the back door when he needs to go out to potty, and does then when we are in the kitchen and he wants a treat. it amazes me that he communicates so well  |
Hmm, Missy's not much of a barker so far, and when she does bark it's very quiet. |
I can relate to the barking. I used to have a doberman before Titus. Titus seems to be a much more ferocious watch dog then my dobe. He seems to be always alert for strange noises. He will bark at any little noise he thinks he hears by the door. I have to say, it really gets annoying. |
Its funny you should mention this. Cause i was walking keely today and a man walked towards us, And he looked at her like "Awwwww" And she let out this huge bark, And he jumped back like "whoa" "You may be small but ya gotta big bark" All i could do is laugh..lol. |
The only time mine bark is when the door bell rings, and as soon as I open the door they run out and lick the person to death. Great watch dogs. LOL |
