why does he do this?
 
Smokey will take treats from me no problem BUT if Adam gives him the same exact treat, he has to smush it up into tiny pieces for him to even eat it. It's not like Smokey is a teeny tiny dog either. He's 13 lbs. If Adam doesn't do smash the treat up, he turns his nose up at it. Why does he do this?

I don't have an answer but that is quite funny! Perhaps he is being a little bugger and "knows" adam will do the extra work for him :p They are too smart and will take advantage any chance they get!

I think you're probably right lol. He'll just sit there and look at him like, "I'm not eating that!" But if me or my cousin give him a treat he'll eat it at any size.

LOL, Sounds like Smokey has trained Adam pretty good, but he's probably thinkin you're a stubborn one!! :D Oh well, with a little patience and consistancy I'm sure you'll come around and Smokey will be so proud ;)

Hiro loves it when I hold his chew toys for him so he doesn't have to...
If I stop holding it, he'll lose interest. :confused:

I dont know why he does it but I know they can expect different things from different people. Mine will take a treat aanyway you want to give it to them but I dont give them treats all the time so that may be why
