Molly likes to first come up for kisses when we first go to bed. Then she'll either settle down and go to sleep either in the crook of my legs as I am a side sleeper or else up near my shoulder curled up against me. However, as I am a restless sleeper, she will usually then move down to the end of the on one of the corners to go to sleep. Also, if I should get up to go to the bathroom, Molly gets up also and goes with me. She then hops back in bed with me. :luvu: |
Well Legacy and Impreza are both kind of funny. Legacy has to be closer to our heads to sleep so she'll sleep either in between Mike and I or on my side of the bed. Impreza like to be closer to our feet but she usually sleep in between us by our feet. |
Teddi sleeps in my bed. She can't get up there herself. When I am ready to go to bed I tell them "time to go to bed" and Cassie comes in and lays on her bed (my standard poodle) and I pick up Teddi and put her up on the bed. She usually goes to a pillow above my head circles around and settles in for the night. She stays up there until I take a shower in the morning and get dressed and then I take her off the bed and put her leash on to go for a walk. |
Chester likes to play sometimes when I first go to bed and then he lays next to me. He lays on top of the covers inbetween my legs or under the covers. He will paw at me or the covers and that means he wants under the covers, what a goofy boy. He lays next to the back of my legs if Im on my side |
Pao will wait until I get in bed and then jump on to my right side so I am always in the middle in between Pao and my hubby:). I like to sleep in between two males hehe. My mattress is on the floor, no bed currently so it is easy for him to jump up and down. At night, he will occasionally move to his bed especially when I accidentaly put my hands on him when I turn as I am a heavy sleeper. His bed is right next to mine so he is never too far. He will come back to my bed when he feels like it. Sometimes Daddy will play with him before bedtime. They will play under the blanket ...Daddy will create a tunnel and they will be cuddling and wrestling under it...boys  If they play before I get in the bed he sometimes will want to sleep in the middle. |
Thanks everyone, you all have such cute stories! This morning I made a funny observation. Wrigley will stay quiet and still in bed as long as I don't open my eyes to look at the clock or open my eyes when I am moving. It is like he is watching for me to open my eyes. If I open my eyes he attacks me with kisses as to say, "Mommy is awake! Mommy get up, you are awake now!" lol |
Rocky has his own bed that I put between me and the wall. So he does sleep with us but in his own bed. I am too afraid right now that he is still a puppy that something will happen to him while is sleeping in the bed with us otherwise I wouldn't mind. I put a blanket over him in his bed and then when my husband gets up to go to work Rocky comes and sleeps next to me in my bed. |
I notice that some nights are better than others. I love for Jayla to sleep with me. She falls asleep on top of the covers, but soon ends up right next to my face, as many of you have said. Then she sleeps face-to-face with me, doing that snorting, sneezing thing often and waking me up. Or, she turns her butt directly in my face and puts her head on the pillow next to me quite comfortably. The other morning I woke up and realized that my entire head was flat on the mattress while Miss Jayla Pea sprawled across my entire pillow. Excuse me!! I guess I was crowding her and spoiling her beauty rest. I've never had a dog share my bed before but I've bonded with this little Yorkie and I can't love her enough! Even when she naps I pick her up and cradle her in my arms. |
sleeping saydy sleeps with us , right up against me all night long . so i hang off the king size bed clutching my blankets and trying to save my pillow from falling. she always has to have one foot pushing against you. yes i created this so i am not complaining , just stating the facts. i made one mistake and im not sure how or why it happened . one night i put her food and water in the bed for some weird reason that i cant remember . so now every time i put her on the bed she thinks its time to eat . so at 1 am when we are sound asleep i hear her picking up one crunchy at a time, carrying it over to my face and chewing. you know how yorkies have to stare at you and eat at the same time !it might get some people mad , but i cant help but laugh from a sound sleep . even my husband who needs his certain amt of sleep sometimes giggles . so now she got my big aussie doing it too .. they eat in sync .. so cute ( i think ) |
Well my Stinky he sleeps by my feet like 99% of the time.....But for the past 2 days he has been sleeping next to my head and stomatch...I think its because its cold. I do turn on the heater in my room.. Quote:

All I have to say is "Wanna go to bed?" and they both jump up and run up the stairs. If I do not say it early enough they will jump off the couch and circle the bottom of the stairs, coming back to me a few times and whining. They let me know when they are ready for bed! haha They both run up and jump on the bed and lay on my pillow while I brush and wash. When I come in and get into bed Dexter immediately goes under the covers between my legs or behind my knees if Im on my side. Eventually Fletcher will come under but he goes WAYYYY to the bottom of the bed under the covers and stays there most of the night. In the morning Fletcher comes up, still under the covers and curls up against my chest for about a 1/2 hour just snoozing! Hes such a love bug! :) Its our only cuddle time since hes too energetic to be a cuddle bug! |
When its bedtime Prada gets so excited she almost can't stand it! (And I'm not sure why because it seems like its always HER bedtime! Hahah) She runs around and watches me brush my teeth, and comes in and out of the bathroom while I do my routine. I lift her on to the bed where my fiance plays with her a little and loves on her. And when I get into bed she moves toward our feet in between us, but if we kiss when the light is still on, she army crawls to us and jumps up, licking both of our faces one at a time! She doesn't like to be left out of kisses. I'm not really sure what she doesn in the night because I'm a heavy sleeper, but she always wakes up around 8 very, very, very ready to play. She bounces around on our comforter and walks up my boyfriends chest to give him kisses. And if I get the chance to sleep in I put her in her bed on the floor, when she gets tired of playing she stretches and tries to climb up to me and cries and cries! Its so sad I feel guilty on my days to sleep in! Hahah. |
Wookie:aimeeyork and I have a routine also. I take him outside for the last potty break, then when we come in a get a part of a chicken strip (those dehydrated chicken breasts) and tell him "Go get on the bed" and he flies into the bedroom and is standing on the edge of the bed when I get there. I crawl into bed and break pieces of it off for him (if I give it to him he eats too fast and does that honking thing). Then he gets up and gets a drink from his water bowl I keep in the bedroom (he gets thirsty through the night, no accidents, so it seems to be ok), then he snuggles in next to me while I watch tv a bit. He starts out in a little ball right next to me, but in the night he stretches out, not next to me, but long ways. So his little 8 lbs takes up a ton of room!!! He doesn't like to get under the covers though.:animal-pa |

I love her name! Prada that is soooo cute! I named a dog Channel once!! lol You are lucky that you get to have sleep in days. I get up for work at 4:45 every morning. On the days that I don't have to get up, Wookie:aimeeyork may let me sleep til 6. I will be sleeping and I will feel him standing on me, when I open my eyes he is staring at me in the face. If I try to go back to sleep, he will let out a little whimper. If I still ignore him, he pulls off the covers and starts scratching me with his front paws frantically!!! The worst part is that once he gets me up and moving around, a lot of times he will lay down in the living room and go back to sleep!!! And I am just up!!! LOL |
