Taylor has Dry Skin I know i am most likely giving Tayor to many baths, but now what do about her dry skin. I used oatmeal shampoo, conditioner, and now a medicated shampoo, trying to help her dry skin. (my poor baby). Do you have suggestions what I can do now, with out giving her another bath. The reason she gets so many baths is she is always getting dirty. My 2 other fur kids are always playing with her and she is full of doggie spit. Thanks Tami <>< |

My only suggestion woudl be to use a warm wash cloth and wipe the other fur kids spit off. i know that they make a waterless shampoo, maybe using something like that for the in between baths....Hope you find a cure. What part of FL??? Burrrrr, it's cold here today:) I'm in St.Pete/Clearwater area.. |

It's pretty cold her today.... I'm in Fort Lauderdale. I love the cold weather! I get to use all my long pants and jackets I never get to use, but the funniest thing, somehow they shrunk being in the closet all that time, ;) must be all the warm air. Tami <>< |

HA! That's funny about your clothes. I love the SNOW, we going skiing every year, we leave in 2 wks, can't wait. I don't mind the cold when there's snow on the ground, but, it is hard to take when the beaches are staring at you and you can't go in the water...that's tough!!! |

I was using an oatmeal shampoo and conditioner on Lilly because we've always suffered with dry skin. Then I read somewhere that oatmeal is more drying if it's being used regularly and it isn't beneficial to them. Oatmeal just soothes and it can dry them out if you use it every bath. I stopped using Lilly's and her skin's a little better but not all the way. |

My son actually went surfing yesterday........We live about 2 miles from the beach. Thank goodness for wet suits......... I think it was 49 degrees. <>< |

Emilyann, maybe that's what has caused it, because she was ok until I started using the oatmeal soap and all of a sudden her skin is so flakey....... I wonder if I used a little baby oil on her would help. anyone try this? |

Salmon Oil Our Misty scratched all the time. We use Pure Icelandic Salmon Oil from Only Natural Pet Store. It is supposed to be good for the skin and coat. Misty does not seem to scratch much anymore. |
