Question about have two males. I am new to the site but have had a male morkie for a year (Dec 23rd he turned 1!). I want to get another puppy but not sure how that will affect Bear. Does anyone know if this will make Bear "mark" or cause other bad habits? He is currently potty trained and was neutured at 16 weeks. As far as I know he has never marked before and has been around other puppies and dogs before. He is very friendly with all animals even the ones that could eat him in one gulp. He thinks all dogs want to play. Thanks in advance for any advice. |
If he has never marked before and he is nuetered, I doubt that he would start marking now |
Having two males Another question: Will the two fight? I wouldn't think so but my husband tells me they might? I just figured they would get along. |
I don't think that you'll have any problems He's been neutered and he sounds like he's nonagressive from the start so I think he'll be great with a new dog |

Toby was 2 years old and neutered when we brought 10 week old Rudy home last November. There has been no marking, and they are usually the best of friends. Toby has shared everything with the little guy, and will only get a bit testy if Rudy's puppy manners are extremely rude. Good luck with your new puppy :) |
I would just suggest that you take your little guy with you when you go to look at a yorkie...You will know right away if they like each other...and even if they don't at first...they could still get along fabulously...it could just take time.. But at least that way he can get used to the new one...and meet in a neutral area....before you bring it to his home territory.. |
