My puppy spazzes out at night... Like clockwork, 9pm hits, and I let her out of her crate. She just goes nuts & starts ripping around the house as fast as she can! It is hilarious, but I wonder why she only does this at night? Does anyone else's pooch have this behavior? |
Sounds like what we call the zoomies. My dogs do it, but not at a particular time. They run like lightening all around the house, up and down stairs, and in and out of every open room. They also do it on the lawn, and especially after a bath. |
yup, my pup does this too! its sooo funny to watch but once i wanna go to sleep and he is still going nuts, it starts to get annoying, but the good thing is, he passes out after and is out for the night! |
Hahaha, I thought only Cash did that! He doesn't do it at a particular time, but whenever he has too much energy - about once a day. But he looks soooo funny coz his legs are flying everywhere, his ears are pinned to his head and his butt is tucked under:D. Honestly, he looks like a demented rabbit when he does this:rolleyes:. Ps. Sometimes I hide somewhere in the house, call him and when he gets near, I scare him like Boooo! He goes crazy!! After that we just watch and laugh :) |
LOL Marilize I'm going to have to try that popping out when my yorkies get the zoomies!! I love watching them with their butts tucked up and legs flying! We always stop what we're doing to enjoy the show. ;) |

These 3 do that too! Right about 9 pm when everyone is getting settled for the night the ZOOMIES hit! Hilarious!!!! Just yesterday Doodlebug had the zoomie bad. :p He was running up and down the hall and throughout the house so fast that he was like a little flash of fur :p We have wood in our entire house and he would run and slide past the other 2 who were trying to keep up with him. That's my boy! :animal36z |
Lucy gets the zoomies regularly too, and it's hilarious to watch - how she doesn't run into furniture, etc., I have no idea, because the speed shes goes is phenomenal! |
LOL ... oh my god coco did this yesterday afternoon for the first time i took him outside in my front lawn and all of a sudden he started running threw the grass and rolling over and going in circles and running and running he looked hilarious it was very funny i was like what happen to him im glad to see its normal |
You let her out of her crate All that pent up energy has to go somewhere I'M FREE ...... FREE!!!! :D |
Yeah Bria does this too at night!! she runs around like a crazy woman then 10mins later is out like a light!! |
YES! We love watching Turk do this! His ears go back and he hunkers down(digging his claws into the carpet) and tears all over the house like a bolt of lightning. It's too funny!! |
lol Isn't it hilarious . I call it crate fever :D, I was able to stop the frequency of these spurts by making sure she got enough exercise . A couple of laps around the house did the trick :animal-pa |
Mine do it too. Isn't it funny. Mine love to do it after a bath. |
My three do this too. They just run upstairs, downstairs, in the kitchen, up and down the hall. It's so funny. Trixie still hasn't grown into her skin yet. She is very clumbsy, just running into things. Coco and Pebbles have it down pat but Trixie just runs into furniture. Sliding on the kitchen floor she is so funny trying to keep up. I can't wait until spring so they can run crazy outside. |
