Gargle, rattle, flemy?? Anyone had a problem with their yorkies having rattling sounds coming from their babies throats? It sounds like flem or something. Like when we get sick and when we cough and it has a flemy sound to it. Her bark sounds ok but when she whimpers there's a flemy sound to it. Is that normal? |
Id play it safe and take your fur baby to the vet for an exam. Never can be too careful. |
Id go to the vet too! Simon had that sound once and the vet told me it was allergies and he was ok but my motto is better safe than sorry! Keep us updated! |
Gwen had a gagging sound when she would eat, and I'd have to sit and rub her throat. I took her to the vet, and he couldn't find anything wrong. He suggested that maybe in her previous home she had to share with a lot of other dogs, and didn't get much to eat, so she was just gulping her food down. It's stopped since I feed her and Skippy alone, so I guess he was right. |
When Yoda was sick, and somewhat throwing up bits and pieces from time to time, he would make that sound. I don't think we took him to the vet that time, as he did get over the illness rather quickly and the stuck phlegm sound went away after that. To be completely safe though, you may want to take her to the vet. |
