Help!! Tazmanian Yorkie!!! I dont know what it is but like clockwork around 11pm my yorkie turns into a tazmanian devil she starts running top speed in circles then she will just spin in circles at top speed come jump on me growl and bites me and go back to spinning in circles she does this for about 2 minutes every night then she gets exhausted and lays down. No matter what i do i cant stop her #1 because she's too fast and number #2 she just won't listen.... |
Ramsey does the same thing sometimes. I think its because he is tired and doesnt want to go to sleep. Like when a toddler is tired and they fight sleep. |
they are so funny when they do that. lexi does that around 830 or 9pm. i crack up, and she knows im laughing at her... |
Thats funny! My husband calls our Yorkies the Tazmanian Devils also. |
How cute! It's total Yorkie fun for sure! :D |
try throwing some holy water on her and get a cross and start praying...she is posessed. Energy has overtaken her body and has to come out!!! :D |
I don't know how old your baby is - but that is a typical puppy thing - they get over it, but not sure at what age. Rowdy is 6 months old now and no longer has the fits of speed. When he did though, I would take him out and walk him - even when he was too little to walk on the leash (he would follow me) and tire him out that way. Or I just let him run it out in the house when it was OK to do so. |

I actually registered my little one Tazmanian Angel! He's Taz for short and definitly lives up to his name! :D |
Since I go to bed early, I'd have to give mine a little Benadryl (kidding, kidding). Now that I have two, I let them just run the yard, with me on the porch watching, of course. That's seems to do the trick, since that means about 1/4 acre of running each turn. It's so cute to watch, sometimes Lacey takes a short cut across the yard because her short little legs can't keep up but she catches Lacey and rolls her over by surprise! |
Heidi does this thing we like to call the "bunny scoot" because she actually looks like a little bunny hopping around as fast as she can! She tucks her tail and her butt drops down as she runs. She is SO fast, she's like a little gray blur! And the more I laugh, the crazier she gets! I love it... I think it's so adorable. |

I have 4 doing that right now cuz Buddha, my daughter's dog is here and it is so hilarious when they get the evening crazies. i am always afraid someone is going to bump their head on the bed frame or something because they chase each other under the bed and they go soooo fast...It's crazy. Yesterday I was outside on the patio which is fenced off and they all four ran by at top speed in out one door and in the other and reversed 5 seconds later and came back out the one door and in the other. Hefner was leading the charge! Don't know why they were chasing him but is very entertaining for me. |

They don't call me "THE RUNWAY" for nothing :D |
whew so good to know my pup isn't possessed ;) We usually go to a safe area that is mostly carpet and just let her run. It's amazing how fast our little rat chasers are isn't it? |
Oh yes, the evening crazies! Simon and Hallie go nuts as soon as I start to brush my teeth. that's how they know it's time for bed ;) they are so funny! |
