Yes, Buddy does that when he "Dances" with me. I'm teaching him to "spin" from a sitting position. We're always learning new tricks. |
My Jewels does it when she is excited |

They just get so full of energy. My molie finds her tail once in awhile and tries to catch it. She will spin around, like a little dance. the smaller they are the bigger they act. i am trying not to let her get up on top of things to much, I am afraid she will hurt herself. She will leap out off the chair. Scare me to death. Does yours do that too jill. She tries to be such a big girl. hugs nancy |
Pixie does. She goes crazy. The other 2 don't do it. |
Yes, my Roxy spins a lot. I have heard this is a result of poor/bad breeding. Neuro issues :( |
Wylie flies in circles only when I'm walking from the counter to his eating area with his food, it's just crazy! Marcel just looks up, gets his eyes on his bowl, and prances toward the eating area while looking straight up. |
Ahaha! My Gemma does this! A complete 180 spin in the air! First in one direction and then the opposite! It's hilarious to watch her cause she literally jumps off all fours, spins in the air and lands on all fours again! |

Tobey spins on command when i say "spin!" and then he also uses it as a way to say yes if I ask him a question like "do you wanna go outside?" then he will spin. It started because i would say the word "outside" and he would get all excited and whine and start spinning on his way to the back door. Then over time I just used that behavior to form it so he would do a spin on command. Everyone thinks it is so cute when i have him do it :p He still spins all the way across the kitchen floor on his way to the door when he wants to go out. I tell him- I know you want to go, stop spinning crazy man! but he does it anyway... and it isn't a round and round type spin, it is more of a hopping and traveling spin but on command he will just spin once and sit down. |

Biggie only spins every so often when he is really excited to see us or can smell a super special food in his bowl..like cottage cheese. :) |
Yep! My Stedman does this ALL the time :p Tatum usually just (tries LOL) to jump up a little bit, and she whines when she is excited....but Stedman is definitely my little spinner :D He does his little "dance" for mommy all the time  |
Suzi spins around when someone comes over ! She is so ecited to see people :D It is very cute ! |
Oh my gosh mine spin around like crazy if their going out. It's so funny. |
Soo cuute!! :D No, but Turk likes to walk on his hind legs and puts his front paws in the air like it's a stick up when he's excited. lol |
Piccolo spins three times before I set her dog food bowl on the mat. She always has and it is so cute. She can also "turn around" as a trick, both to the right and to the left. Thanks for starting this thread. Very interesting! |
My toy poodle used to do that when he was excited (always in the same direction). Even after he lost the sight in his left eye in an accident, he still would spin in that direction. He konked himself on the head a few times getting too close to furniture but he just would not change directions. |
chester does it when I come home or someone comes over. |
spinning around :) thanks everybody for all the replies i have enjoyed reading them , poppy only doesthis for a couple of seconds :aimeeyork if she knows you are walking towards her biscuit barrel , or if she knows you are opening the drawer where her lead is kept , she just cant contain her excitement :D a bit like an excited toddler lol :) love jill n poppy xx |

riley does this! if my boyfriend & i are gone for more than one hour he waits by my bedroom door (him & maddie stay in my room if i leave) and then when it opens he runs and jumps up on the bed and wags his tail and spins until i come pet him and give him attention lol :) and now that we have madison she can't jump up yet so shes on the floor doing circles wagging her little tail its soooooooo cute :p |
When Adie is playing fetch she races back to you, lets the ball go as she approaches (literally throwing it to you) and then spins once. If you don't throw the ball right away she will bark an spin one more time. She loves that game so I'm sure she does it to dispell nervous energy. |
