Any other "stalkers" out there? Just wondering if anyone else has a "stalker"? Bella started occasionally "stalking" her toys well before Thanksgiving this year. Most of the time when you throw a toy, she chases it down, gives it a good shaking, and then brings it back to tug for a bit before you throw it again. But every now and then, we throw a toy and she runs up to it until she's a couple of yards away and then drops down and holds very still. Then, she slowly crawls up all the way to it and pounces!! Then she shakes it and brings it back. Tooooo cute! Well, at Thanksgiving and Xmas both, I had her with me at my aunt's who has a tiny Yorkie puppy (Emma) that just turned 5 mo. old a week ago and is only 2-ish pounds now. They played and played and had the biggest time, but every so often, Bella would stop in her tracks facing Emma and if Emma wasn't moving toward her, she'd drop down and hold very still. Then, as long as Emma stayed still, Bella would slowly WALK!! all the way up to her (if she moved at all, she went back to holding stock still until she stopped moving) and then do a very tiny little pounce at her, and they'd be off running around again! It was like she thought that as long as she was still Emma couldn't see her!! And most of time she didn't even crawl, she just very slowly walked right up to her....toooo funny! She must have done it a couple dozen times and every time was just as cute to watch as the first!!! I soooo wish I had a video camera! Anyone else have a "stalker"?? |
How Cute Bentley doesn't do this but I bet it is a hoot to watch! :) |
Roxie does this with our big fat cat. It works well since cats play that way alot. It is hillarious to watch! |
Gracie does that alot - not with her toys but with Fro and Blair. She will get her front down and her butt in the air and just "hold it" until they come around the corner of the kitchen and then BAM! she pounces! LOL Sometimes she will "hide" under one of the dining room chairs in that position until Fro comes closer and again - she pounces and runs. LET THE GAMES BEGIN! LOL I just sit back, grab a diet coke and a bag of popcorn! |
My pup Ollie does this to the cat. :D |
all 3 of mine play like this with each other, it's cute to watch them:) |
My Coco and Pebbles do this. They kind of play hide and seek. One will slowly inch around the corner and then POUNCE. They they go running off. It is hysterical to watch. I swear they were cats in their 1st life. haha |
1 Attachment(s) Gracie is a stalker. Always has been. She and Yogi both do the "Stare Game". Slowly creeping towards each other, just waiting to see 'who blinks first' then bam! they'll run and slam into each other, both sounding like their ferocious Yorkie forefathers must have in the wilds of Yorkshire. Here's G stalking, killing & bring home her favorite "Big Game" |
1 Attachment(s) Shoot forgot to add the one of Yogi "Hunting Sista" Sister is his favorite Big Game to hunt.:D |
Lol! It is soooo cute to see Gracie doing exactly what Bella does.....and we have a LOT of other little stalkers out there! Yay! |
My two stalk each other  But stalking is typical Dog behavior It's Stare... stalk and chase It's fun to watch One of my pups will get very still and lock his eyes on the other and he'll freeze in place and then he'll move very slowly almost like a cat and crouch down he'll stop ................... and then POUNCE! Cute as hell |
Benz playing Benz is a very sleepy little puppy but a few hours a day will run around crazily with his toys. He makes the most hilarious growling but..not..noises and it is amazing to watch him. I will post a video of him doing it some time. :aimeeyork |
oh yeah! jackson does that all the time! he does it to my other dog too. |
My 10 week old Chanel "tries" to stalk. She doesnt get down but just walks slow with her head down. Its so funny because we know she's trying to creep up but she's not doing it right yet.:p |
Oh yes...2 of mine stalk their toys, or more commonly, each other, all of the time.:p |
