May u find peace !! I know this is a old thread , But yes I go to petsmart all the time, and there have been time , that I jump or have to get out of the way of same of these dogs , that r hard to handle. I always put my furbabies in the cart and let them see every fr there , at least they aren't on the floor , where a big dog can get to them , or I carry them into Banfield (vet). Sorry for any loss of these poor furbabies and their owners, But I would loss my mind , if I came to get them and they have been kill by another dog in their care. Yes , I would sue, I would put it in the paper and do any thing I can for them to take notice, after I have been bail out of jail !!! Oh ! When it came to any family member or friends I don't back off !!. I'm so sorry. :( There really aren\'t any words I can say to make you feel better. What a terribly sad time for you. I\'m so sorry for your loss. It\'s great that you are able to bring attention to what PetSmart is doing. I have a groomer that I trust with my own life, but I always stay with Calleigh. The other dogs are crated and she only does one at a time, but I guess I\'m paranoid or something. I would sue the pants off of PetSmart!!! I know that won\'t help ease your pain, but they need to be made accountable. Also writing about this in the local paper wouldn\'t be a bad idea either. Again, I\'m so sorry for your loss. :( God bless you and your sweet little angel. |
that is a sad story, did they ever say what the outcome was? well they must have changed from then to now. all i see are the daycares with an attendant in the room at all times walking around the room. after a certain amount of dogs, they have to have two attendants walking around the room, and the room is glass so everyone in the store can see the entire room. the grooming room has a tv monitor so you can watch them also a window to watch them. the only thing i don\'t like is if you board there your dog can\'t be raw. |
So sorry to hear this. If I were you I would see if the news would do a report about it. Im sure this will be a wake up call for them. |
I no longer use the Grooming Service, OR Banfield Medical Vet Services at Pet Smart. Though I still go there for various items, I NEVER let my guys down on the floor for any reason. I put them in a Shopping Cart, and tie them in with their Leash\'s. Not so tight where they can\'t move around, just where they can\'t jump out, or get their feet/heads far enough out for another Dog to attack them. I admit I am absolutely and profoundly paranoid about things like this, and take some rather extreme precautions about their protection. It\'s a lot easier just to say no, than it is to go through the misery that causes one to write a Check out to a Vet Hospital or Burial Service. Your can\'t, and no one will blame you for, being too careful. :thumbup: |
