When you breed traditional to a parti, you get all tradional carriers. Those carriers can then produce a parti when bred to a parti. This breeding will produce both carriers and parti's. Parti bred to parti produces all parti's. Hope this helps. :D |
that website basically said they arent to be bought cause they arent traditional. boooooo...... i love the looks of them. now they are akc reg. , they just cant be shown right? renae |

Karen (kpstoybox) explained the genetics of how you can produce the parti color. Good luck! Keep us posted and please share pictures if you do end up joining the "parti crowd". :) Tammy |

2 Attachment(s) You can also breed parti carrier to parti carrier and get parti colored pups, that's how all of our parti lines today have initially popped up (a big surprise to the breeder). Parti bred to Parti = 100% parti Parti bred to carrier = 50% parti/50% carrier Parti bred to traditional = 100% carriers Carrier bred to carrier = 25% traditional, 25% parti, 50% carrier Attached is an example of a carrier to parti cross born 12 days ago. I have 2 parti pups and 2 carrier pups (50/50 split). Of course that's just the average, I've seen parti to carrier crosses that produced 3 parti and 1 carrier and others that produced all carriers (only 2 pups in the litter). |
