New Here..and have a new Puppy LOVE my new baby girl. I don't know how to post the pictures on here but you can see her on my blog JodieGoodison I have no idea what she will look like grown up.. it will be fun to see her change. I've never owned a Yorkie before but have owned other small breeds such as a Maltese and a Pom. I wanted something diff this time. I had her outside the other day and someone stopped and told me she is huge for such a young Yorkie.. I have no idea. She seems pretty small to me. I have noticed on this board they really do seem to vary in looks. I've seen some with super long hair and some med length.. or is it normal to have the hair cut? I did find a great place here to have her groomed regularly. :) I will say though, I was surprised the breeder let us have her at nine weeks. That seems so early to me. So far she's doing great, with eating and training. And so far, I think I'm her fave. :) J |
Welcome to YT. You will enjoy it here, Wealth of information available and wonderful people. Congrats on new pup!!! Beware though Yorkies are like chips...... Addictive. :animal36:animal-pa:animal-pa |
Hello Hi and welcome to YT:) And congrats on your new furbaby! You're certainly right about all yorkies looking different! I think it's this individuality is what makes them so special. You'll see on YT that everyone's babies are unique - some tiny, some medium, some large and all different coat types and lengths. Yes 9 weeks is considered young for your puppy to have left her mother - 12 is thought of as best, although if your pup is a little bigger you'll have less worry when it comes to hypoglaecemia than if she were very tiny. If you have any questions just post them in a thread - I'm a first time yorkie owner too and I found this site and its members to be so helpful, so I'm sure you will too:D I hope you enjoy it here xxx xxx xxx |
Hi and WELCOME to YT!!! Your pup is adorable and I love the name Tumbleweed-very cute! It cracks me up when I get comments on Mika like "wow shes huge!" LOL she is 8 lbs! That may be bigger for a yorkie but 8lbs is still tiny, Mika is pretty much full grown and stills weighs less than three of my children at birth yet people thought they were tiny!LOL! I also have a 40-50lb Staff and a 100+lb Old English Sheepdog- so yes Mika is tiny and I don't care what anyone elses opinion is:p |
Your puppy is a cutie - love the name! And the pictures are BEAUTIFUL! I wish you were near me - I'd love to book a photo shoot. Yorkies have many looks, and some choose to keep their dog's hair long, short, or anywhere in between. Welcome to YT! :wavey: |
Welcome to YT. Cute pup, & beautiful photos. |
Hi! :wavey: Welcome! :welcome4: :yorkiesar |

Welcome to Yorkie Talk. I have to say the photos on your blog are beautiful! You have such a wonderful talent! Your little girl is adorable. My little girl was very dark at first and her face totally lightened up. Her color did change quite a bit. It's an adventure. This breed is so much fun. I hope you enjoy her as much as I do mine. YT is great. People are so willing to help with any questions you may have. I can't wait to see more pictures once you get started. You are very, very talented. |
Welcome to YT..love your work!! |
Welcome to YT. I think the haircut is a matter of preference. I myself love the puppy cut. It's so easy to take care of. |
