yorkie height What is the standard height for a yorkie? |
I'm not a breeder, but........If I'm not mistaken it's supposed to be compact and kind of square....usually 9" X 9" works out well......but I'm sure you'll find all kinds of numbers out there.....:) |
As far as I know about 15-20cm, but I'd imagine this varies a LOT. Jess :heart to |
Baxter is 10x10 at one year old. He seems awfully long until he visits with my sister's dachsund |
I was just wondering. Abby's leg look long to me. Maybe it's because she is so tiny. She weighs 2.7 and her legs are about as big around as my pinky. She has little pencil legs. |
Gerry, they're all different. You will find some yorkies with long legs and some with short. My yorkie is short length wise and height wise, but, very chunky, close to 15 lbs. My son has a brother and sister(yorkies), the female and male weigh the same, 5 lbs, but, the female is longer and a little taller than the male |
We live in Alabama too and also have a little "giraffe" baby. JoJo is 7 months old and weighs 3 1/4 lbs. His legs are long and skinny and he loves to really stretch those legs. I just say he wants to be tall. Of course we think he is just perfect. You can look up the standards on the AKC website. |
