Panic Over - Lucy's Home! My li'l Lucy came home from the vets after being spayed yesterday. She's full of beans, as if nothing's happened - although obviously we'll have to keep an eye on her for a few days. Her scar is a work of art - barely visible and with the minimum of shaving - beautiful! Last night she slept on our bed (always a "No, no", but I guess we just wanted to be sure se was safe and well). This morning, she seems to believe that she owns our bed, so tonight should be interesting! |
It is always a worry when we have to leave our little ones for surgery.........but glad she is home and doing great. They heal up so fast. She have external stitches or only internal ones? After about three weeks, I started massaging the internal stitches to help them dissolve. Been almost six months since Buffy was spayed and the area is looking great! |
Glad to hear she's doing so well. They do seem to do better then us during this procedure. :p Gracie Ruth was sleepy the next day after I picked her up, but from then on it was like nothing had happened to her. It was tough keeping her "quiet" during her recovery time. :D |
Lucy has slept more than usual - but otherwise, she's just like her usual self. She's even tormenting the cat (although interestingly, he seems to know that she's not 100% and doesn't fight back at the moment). I'm so proud of her - if it were me who'd been through the op, I'd be out for max sympathy and TLC! |
You have to be thrilled to have Lucy home. They are resilient little tykes. It's still a worry when you have to leave them for anything. You miss them so much. I have a feeling Lucy will have a new bed to sleep in now. :) |
Glad everything went well for Lucy. :D |
