floopy ears My little Chloe is 8 months old and her ears have been up since she was about 14 weeks. This last week both of her ears are down. Which I think is kind of cute. I know that happens sometimes when they are younger and are teething but not sure if it happens at her age. My Sam who is 10 months old popped his little ears up right away and has never let them down since.....0) Was also wondering if letting her hair grow longer could have an effect on drooping ears?? Her hair is thick and tends to matt. So we have been keeping her cut shorter until recently. Just wondering if anyone else has had this happen? |
When I got Darla her ears were down, and when we took her to get her first trim, the groomer put tape on her ears to stand them up. She put it around the tip of her ear. |
i don't have the answer about your pups floopy ears.. i am hoping that my riley's ears wil quit being so lazy, lol she didn't get her tips shaved until she was 8 1/2 months (her dad didn"t think he would like it):p she had a lot of hair on her ears weighing then down, but as soon as we did the tips, they started standing up right away... riley is over 9 mos. now:aimeeyork i don't mean stood up, we are hopeful they will pick up, and if they don't, she is still the cutiest puppy!!! she is my little yoda ears, lol:animal-a:animal-pa |
We bought our little baby when she was 6 months old. Her ears were floppy then and they are still floppy. I took her the same day we bought her, and the groomer told me that it was too late for them to do anything. She is now left with floppy ears. I love them anyway. Check out Chloe's profile page for pics. |
I don't think it's to late because you said her ears have been up and just fell last week. To much hair on the ear could defiently make them to heavy. They might come back up if you shave the tips or even 1/2 of the ear. It's worth a try. |
my furbabies ears just popped up last night. She will be 4 mths monday. I would always massage the top half while she sleeped and always make them stand before I finished. seems to have worked. |
If they had been standing in the past try shaving the top 1/3 and they should come back up |
