Does your yorkie talk???? I'm convinced that Bernie does. Or at least he tries really hard. He makes so many sounds when trying to get me to do something, he'll even use a squeaky toy, you know, when he can't find the right words.:) |

Yes, Ellie looks right at us and makes the cutest noises. She definately does talk. :) |
Yes jasmine will make noises whenever you haven't seen her for a long time. By the way, I cant figure out how to make her picture show up, can someone tell me? I love seeing everyone's adorable yorkies and I want you to see mine too! |
Keegan has a range of sounds that mean different things. The cutest thing he has started to do...when he want a cookie, he'll squeek, I follow him, he looks at the 'cookie' jar & licks his lips! Yeah he definately communicates. Clarence, not so much, I think Keegan does the talking for him. Like when Clar has to go potty & we don't hear him ring the bell, Keegan will let out a shrill, sharp bark & we know.... |
My middle boy, Kalani, is the talker of the family. He even stomps his feet if I don't understand what he's trying to say quickly enough:rolleyes: |
I have several that are quite vocal when they want something. If I forget to give Dixie, age 12, her morning cherrios snack she make a cute woofing noise until I figure out what she wants. Bebe always lets me know when it is snack time at night, she is the spokes doggie for all of them. She can drive me nuts with her woofing noises. It does not matter to her that I might be trying to watch a show or reading on the computer. She is like a clock, come 9:30 p.m. I better swing into action. :D My Little Man is the only dog I have that does not bark. He is 10 years old and I have only hear him bark maybe 2 or 3 times his whole life. He just make a cute little whining noise when he wants something. They all talk in their own little way. |
poppy sneezes :) my poppy has different noises for different things , :D the main one is she starts sneezing to get your attention ;) it is sooooooooo cute , you cant help give in to her :animal-pa |

All three of mine will talk to me BUT Bogey is the best. It's not a bark, whine or growl its almost like he is trying to say words. It's just so cute. |
Maddie is very talkative! It's adorable...unless I'm busy and she wants to play RIGHT NOW! lol She can be a little pushy when she wants to be. :) |
:D:D Sophie makes all kinds of strange sounds and looks right at us like "Don't you know what I am trying to tell you?" I just want her to come out and say it! It seems she is just trying so hard, but we don't speak Sophie language. |
Milli does...every day, many many times! It's not a bark, not a growl, not a whine...definitely "words"! You can even ask her "What, Milli?!" and she will tell you all about it. Emma only does it occasionally, when she is really admant that you know something, or when she is jealous that Milli is getting all the attention for talking up a storm! |
Of course Logan talks... he is bilingual hihihi he sure lets me know what he wants... I just love him to pieces!!!!:D |

Smokey talks all the time. He goes through a process when he wants to play. First he throws the toy on your lap and puts his paws on it and waits. He looks at you with those sad puppy eyes. We purposely ignore him sometimes to get him to continue. He then will sit down in front of you, with his tail wagging and give a low growl. He'll growl a few more times, then grab the toy again and throw it in your lap again. THEN if you still ignore him, he'll bark. |
I swear Piper trys to say cookie when he comes in from going potty.:) |
Oh YES!!! Pixie does! I have never heard anything like it! she is VERY vocal! and uses a whole range of noises to get my attention..its so funny! I MUST get a video of her doing it! my last yorkie was nowhere near as vocal as she is. She's so demanding there is no way you can ignore her! |
whenever I call Dolly in a firm voice (most likely she got herself in trouble), she would run to get her little pink toy purse that makes a squeaky "i love you" sound. most likely I ended up laughing rather than getting mad. |
YES! when I walk in the door and don't pet him right away he scratches my feet and makes "yawning" noises. He'll press a sqeaky toy on my leg to get me to play. He'll bark at me if I'm watching TV and he wants to go out. When I say its cold outside, he angles his head in a "confused" kind of look. He's funny. :) |
Yes, Lulu tries to talk too. She makes these little grunting noises when we are talking like she is trying to get into the conversation too. It is the funniest thing. |
Fiona is a big, big talker! I think she is a pig sometimes! |
:D My Jack talks to me too! He is just too cute when he's trying to tell me something. I absolutely love it!:animal-pa |
Molly does..she makes all kinds of strange noises in the back of her throat when she is trying to tell me something. |

Good Luck, can't wait to see them. |
Mine talk. Mostly Mo though. He lets me know when he has to go out by a certain way he "talks" . The funny thing is one day he had just been outside and laid down for a few minutes. I was at my mac and he was "talking" again like he had to go out-very persistently I might add. I finally said "go lay down" and he did. The funny part is a few minutes later he was back at it but this time I noticed he was actually whispering! LOL it was so funny. You had to be there I guess but it was a hoot. He has done it several times since--usually after I have told him to go lay down. |
Tricksie really talks when my husband is trying to talk to me, she is so jealous. |

Since Roxie has a hard enough time getting sound out when she barks she looks at me with these eyes and I pretty much know what she wants by the different looks now. Sometimes it's like having a kid who can hear but can't talk. They still find ways to communicate what they want. When we go to bed she snuggles up next to me on her back and her head on my pillow. She falls asleep to me rubbing her tummy. But she makes these whimpering noises as if she's so relaxed and comfortable. |
my dog hums her emotions Gypsy does too! That is so funny that there are other dogs out there! She hums a lot when she is happy--especially when she is curled up with us in bed at night. Last night she was really scared (for the first time--long story: my husband was playing "find my hand under the blanket" and for some reason she thought it was a very unnatural invisable dog and decided she was terrified) anyways, she started "humming" as sad song. So strange! |
