Yorkie in Windsor Area on Pet Finder http://www.petfinder.com/petnote/dis...petid=11452452 So this is a link to the lil' guy that I found yesterday and my other half k-boshed! He won't agree to him for a few reasons... One he's older, two he's a rescue and is afraid of inheriting behavioural problems & three he wants a black & tan yorkie. I think those are all ridiculous reason why not to get him and it's breaking my heart that I can't save him. I emailed the lady who's fostering him and this is what she sent me. I just wanted to post it up here to give him more exposure since I can't adopt him -I'm hoping he'll find a new loving home soon. Info on Kricket:One year 3 months old Clean Bill of Health - had a surgery for liver shunt correction (July 08) - now repaired he is in great health - no issuesNeutered - up to date on vaccinations - PetParent will have to do that in the Spring. Gets along with any other dog and cats. No separation anxiety Our procedure is if you are interested the following occurs: 1. You need to fill out an application 2. After review we ask that you visit Kricket 3. If you visit and want to proceed with adoption we do a home visit 4. You have to be an approved home prior to adoption 5. We do vet checks and references 6. If approved there is adoption papers to fill out 7. Additional information is given at Home visit |

Ahhh he is a cutie....work on that BF of yours....maybe you can persuade him...:-) |
He is so cute and from their description, seems like a great dog. Hopefully someone will come along and take him to his forever home...:( |
Awww, he's gorgeous! Too bad you can't have him. |
He is adorable! He reminds me a little bit of Franklin in the face. One thing I want to mention.. I don't know much about rescues in Canada but $675 is extremely high for rescue. ...I just read that part of it is reimbursement for the liver shunt surgery. I still think that's a little high but if you're willing to pay that much, he's adorable and you sound like you'd be able to give him a great home! |

I have officially given up - Julien won't give in no matter how guilty I make him feel. I'm very upset by it though - afterall, I don't ask for much... We're common law, and I'm fine with that - I've never nagged him to get married and have a big wedding and I don't bug him to have children (because neither of us wants them). We don't go on vacation very much because there's very few people I trust to watch Deegan. My pets are my kids... I did sit him down and ask him when or if he would ever agree to another dog, and he said the only way is to get it as a puppy at 12 weeks so that we can raise it completely. So I guess that's the route I will have to take even though I feel terrible that I can't save Kricket. But I also don't want to guilt Julien into saying yes, and bring the new dog home only for Julien to recent him. Hopefully one day I'll be able to get him to understand how important adopting a rescue is... |
I seen Cricket a couple weeks ago, he is so cute and I would love to have him but I feel that is way over priced, but thats Canada for you! Sorry you can't have him, I am sure he has loving foster parents for now and will have a new family when the time comes, and you will get your second fur baby when the time is right too. I want one too but my hubby doesn't want another yorkie  Just to add, when I seen the ad he was 550$ and I thought that was still too much 675 now, wow! |
