Next step?? I am at the stage (ten weeks of consistent training) where Jack and Mandy are confined in an xpen inside the kitchen. My dilemma is I do not have access to a door from the kitchen. So my problem how do I trust them enough to let them near the door to tell me that they need to go out. But not have an accident. I am trying the bells hooked onto the xpen and they are crated at night (pen is dry). I was thinking about trying diapers. Has anyone tried this method??? I would let them run around the areas that are carpeted put diapers on them so they can go to the door to tell me that they need to go or do you think that will teach them to go in the diapers???? I was hoping for more progress after 10 weeks and I am back to school next week and I wanted to try something new. Oh there is an accident (pee) in the kitchen about every other day. Verena |
Sure, diapers, bellybands, panties w/sanitary napkins all work great. I sue them all the time. |

I make mine also. I use two three inch velcro strips so they are pretty adjustable and very secure. I just line them with a maxi pad. They work great. Good luck. :) |
diapers I am worried that they will try to pull them off of each other. Because Jack pulls Mandy's bows out of her hair and Mandy tries to pull the tape off of Jack's ears. My husband thinks that if put the diapers on them it will teach them to go in them. Has anyone tried to do this and was sucessful with this training method??? It would be so nice to allow them more freedom around the house and have access to a door to let me know they have to go out. Jack and Mandy's Mom :) |
