doesn't want treats... i'm potty training jackson right now and he's been doing very well but mainly because i've been taking him out so often and basically not allowing him to have accidents, lol but i was always giving him a treat and praise every time after he went... but lately he doesn't even want the treat. he sniffs it and walks away! lol. he absolutely LOVES to be outside so he just continues on his way exploring after going. i praise him alot and repeat "good boy!!" and he seems satisfied that i'm giving him so much praise sometimes but other times, he doesn't care. the thing is, he'll LOVE one treat one day and the next absolutely hate it. i've tried different kinds of doggie treats as well as people food like cheerios and little bits of animal crackers. one day he'll love it, the next day he could care less! i guess my main question is... do you think he can understand potty training when he doesn't seem to care about the treats or praise? sometimes it's as if he's just going... and the only reason he's not having accidents in the house is because of my effort. but eventually, i want him to know what he's doing, lol. |
He'll get the idea .... Yorkies are finicky eaters That too I've found out but your praise and telling him what a good boy he is is probably good enough |
with bailee,i break tha treat up verrrrrrrrrryyyy small, like just a taste that way she wont get full to quickly,it keeps her wanting more and not getting full of them! |
