How old when u give a puppy a water bowl? prince is 2 months old and he usually drinks from a water bottle like the ones rabbits use but i feel like hes just not gettin enough out of it.. he sucks on the thing for a while and only gets a little.. is he too young to give him a little water bowl? |
I got my puppy when he was 3 months and he's been using the water bowl..I think yours should be fine. |

Belle never used a water bottle. So, you should be able to switch to a water bowl just fine. ;) |
My dogs never used a water bottle, they have always used a bowl just fine. |

We have always used a water bowl for our Toto ... since we got her at 16 weeks. Also, we always use either stainless or glass and only give her bottled water. The bowls can be sterilized and the stainless is very easy to tuck into their bag to bring with. I put down a fresh bowl of water several times a day for Toto. |

I use a guinea pig bottle for my 2 - 10 month old yorkies......I did not start until a 3 months ago after I got the girl.....I will never go back to bowl......their hair does not get in the water and their water is always clean and no spillage.....I even put the clean and clear in the water for fresh breathe.....they empty the bottle everyday....and they seem to drink more than when the drank from a bowl......the best thing I ever did. |
Having a cleft palate, Zaccheus still drinks from a water bottle. He always will. He can drink from a bowl, but the bottle is better for him. The bigger the spout, like for rabbits, which you can get at a feed store, the faster the water dispensing. |
