Jealousy???? I'm not really sure what is going on with my two girls, but here is the story: Tanj and Febi will be sitting on the couch with me and sometimes when my roommate tries to pick up Tanj or Febi, Tanj will lunge at Febi and try to bite her and does a small growl. I just don't know whats going on. Also when we are outside Tanj will potty first and be ready to come back inside and she will wait for Febi to come to the stairs so that when Febi tries to past her she will growl and try to bite the back of her neck. Tanj also does this when Febi goes into sprint mode around the house. A few times this has started a fight where I needed to separate them, :( but otherwise Febi pretty much ignores Tanj and pushes past her. Does anybody know what is going on??? |
Dogs live in a system of heirarchy where one is top dog ... all the time it sounds like this is what's going on But lunging and growling isn't a good behavior and should be stopped because it can escalate When you're on the couch and one does that.... it's AH! and off the couch Real quick and to the point Ah! and Off |
When we are going to bed at night my Malli (yorkie) will not let Baileigh Jo (boxer) up on our bed to sleep she will run around the edges and growl/bark as if to say don't think so go sleep on the couch...she also cannot stand for me to pet Baileigh or for Baileigh to lay with me on the couch...of course Baileigh is a senior dog and she does not care she just does what Malli intends for her to do...Also does anyone else have a problem with theirs sharing toys they are like to small children neither one of them wants a certain toy until the other one has it???! |
