I have one of those metal play yards for Copper. He hasn't jumped it yet. It is 4 ft. high. You can get them in different heights. They fold up when you don't use them. and I have made it smaller when he was little by folding and using one of those plastic ties that you can buy at the hardware stores that you pull up as much as you want and then cut the ends off. Copper is 6 months old, and is not much of a jumper yet. He has just learned how to jump up on the couch this week, and still has trouble doing that. I think they make those play yards in plastic, too. I have seen those at Petsmart. I got mine at Pet Supermarket. Good luck! :) |
Hey, I just noticed that you are from Central Florida. Anywhere near Orlando? |

Sophie did the same thing. When I stacked the gates she couldn't get over them. I also angled the top gate inward a little to make sure. Good luck! |
little houdini Toby did that when he was a puppy. First it was the playpen. I don't think he ever stayed in it (and he was only 9 weeks old when I got him). He just climbed over it. So, I got a baby gate -- that of course he chewed the plastic and got out. I then got an all wood one. The bars weren't close enough so he just ran right out. So, I got some wire mesh and attached that. He still got out somehow. Finally, I just gave up, and he got the run of the house. Luckily, he never did any major damage. I almost changed his name to little houdini, as he always figured out how to get out of things. He even got out of his carrier on an airplane -- and ended up about ten rows back. It's not a fun thing to get woken up with an announcement -- "If anyone has lost a small dog, please ring your flight attendent button." (He was about 6 months old on that one). Good luck in keeping your little one in. |
