Looking for a yorkie 4 my mom
 

Guys I went to this home yesterday to check out some yorkies for my mom, the prices were okay.......mom doesn't want me to spend more than $400 on one, because she said she would not feel right if I spent more, anyway...I get to the house and the man carries us around back into a building that was ice cold that had stalls with hay and doggie doors. In popped the 9 month old male, can you even say big, wet and very hyper.....then he got the 9 month female very nasty,& hyper. Then we took a peek into the other stalls.....oh my god they were all nasty, wet, some covered in poop and matted hair...then he took us to the little male that was 7 weeks old. Oh the poor baby was wet, and very cold....he allowed me to hold him and I asked can I put him down on the floor he said no because he has not had any shots, oh okay they sold the rest of the litter already without shots. I left without the puppy, got to Wal-Mart and called my husband and told him about it, and asked if I should just go back and get the poor little fellow and we keep him and look for my mom one. He said I did the right thing, but now I feel so bad because this baby is probably even colder this morning than yesterday afternoon. Oh and the mom looked so awful, and also was very hyper, nasty with poop all over her face.:(

I would turn them in to the humane society

How sad! That man should be turned in!! You did the right thing in not getting the puppy. It would be hard to walk away, though.

You should definitley report this guy, that is just awful. Then to say not to put the puppy down because he hasnt had his shots yet, I would think that would matter giving the situation that the poor thing is living in, he was proabably sick already. I know it was hard to walk away, but you did the right thing. This guy will end of paying for what he is doing to those poor dogs. :(

I really would turn him in! there is no reason for those dogs/puppies to live in those conditions!!:mad:

I will definitely report this guy..That's very sad..poor lil guy.. I remember last winter one of my neighbor got a puppy..dont remember the breed but was big...He was complaining that the pup poop to much all over the house and he put him to sleep outside,,it was snowin very bad ..at nigh i heard the dog crying..And I went to talk to him next day.I got into a fight because of that..But i found a nice home for the dog cuz he didnt want him anymore..

I agree. Report him. Every state has certain standards of care for dogs, but they don't have inspectors that can go to all the kennels to make sure they are following the law. It's up to you and everyone who sees animals who are being abused to report them.

Feeling sorry for the puppy and bringing him home won't solve anything. It will only put money in the pocket of this horrible breeder and guarantee that he'll keeping breeding. You need to try to shut him down, not support him, no matter how hard it is to walk away.

I would definitely turn him in. You don't have to give your information..just the guys address and that you feel he is running a puppy mill and has too many dogs living in unhealthy, inhumane, conditions. I had a co-worker who did the very thing...went to look for a puppy for herself...felt so bad after she left, she made that call. The dogs were confiscated.:thumbup:
