One thing I like to do is take a bubble bath with hubby and if we have the dogs in the bathroom with us, Chip will try ANYTHING to eat the bubbles and has even fallen in the tub once. If we put them in the crate, Chip barks and whines. Smokey will just lay down and go to sleep. While doing the dance, if we leave the two out of their crate, we can take away the stairs, but then we've got Chip that is jumping up and down on the side of the bed saying "Pick me up!" and Smokey will jump on the bed and curl up behind me. Kinda weird. |
ours have learned to stay off the bed at that time but Meaty will sit at the top of the doggie stairs and wait. The second we are done he knows and he gets in his sleeping spot on the bed. He flops down and lets out a big sigh. It makes us laugh everytime cuz' its like hes saying "finally i can go to sleep" |

Yea well we have seven who sleep with us, so we try to trick them. I get up and go in the bedroom and close the door, so they all stay with dad, thinking I will be back, then he sneaks out the patio door and into the sliding door into the bedroom. DOESN'T WORK!! Pretty soon they are at the door crying, scratching, and the worse is daddys lil Shilo, she almost sounds like shes screaming in pain. |

LOL I'm sorry. I couldn't help but reply to this one. :eyetearss I can't imagine why they wouldn't. Dogs would hear that kinda thing- and, well, flip out. Just gotta love dogs. |
Our furbabies don't sleep with us so it is not a problem, I never let my skin kids sleep with me either. The bedroom is the one place in the house that is just for me and the hubby |
OMG, this is crazy funny!! And you're right - I know most of us have this problem. We work through it though by taking him outta the room... Kinda disturbs the "mood", but we get back into it! LOL I give your points for having the guts to ask though! Brave girl! lol |

love it. I think there are many people out there who are glad that you asked! The answer is "yes, at first". but the girls are really good now and are swell for entertaining themselves. We had some trouble with them sleeping through the night. So I suggested that get them to sleep in THEIR beds. However my HUSBAND wouldn’t hear of it. |
We have learned to keep them in the xpen, lol. Spike used to get so excited and wound up that he would keep bringing us his toys. He would jump up on the bed with his tug rope and sit there like 'hey I wanna play too!" |
The things we'll do for our furbabies. . .or is it the OTHER?:D This is certainly an entertaining thread! |
Help in the bedroom! What worked for us is we put a fence up in the bedroom doorway, had music playing and gave our little guy a bone filled with peanut butter. We first worked with him in short periods of time and constantly praising him when he spent time on the peanut butter. He does great now as he gets his favorite treat and also knows that he will eventually be back with us. Good luck! They are just like little kids! |
