We are praying for your little girl |
I'm so sorry to hear about your little one. Sophie will definitely be in my thoughts and prayers. Please keep us updated. |
I am so sorry to hear about this... with keep you in my prayers.. God Bless |
nothing from the vet yet. it has been nearly 2 hours since the last call and this worries me. it makes me feel that something is wrong. i try to think positive thoughts, but my mind goes back to the anesthetics and the procedure... and usually we do keep them seperated, when we are not home or such, but my mom was home...and i was just getting home. And they fight for my attention... I am going to ask the vet today to make an appointment to get the females spayed, and pray that helps. |
I am so sorry! You are definitely in my prayers! |
How heartbreaking! I am sending prayers for you and Sophie. |
Hugs to you and Sophie. I hope they can repair her eye. If they can't, just remember that she can live a happy, long life with one. There are a couple of people on YT with one eyed dogs and they are just fine. I had a one eyed miniature horse that was just fine too. Please keep us posted on Sophie's progress. |

Sending prayers and Positive thoughts. Hugs to you and Sophie . |
Prayers coming your way. |
OMG how heartbreaking. I hope they are able to save her eye, but I will say that I have a poodle who had to have one eye removed. She was playing with a bigger dog and her eye was punctured. She had done fine with it. They only thing we notice is she used to be able to catch treats in the air and she mostly misses them now. But healthwise she is doing fine |
Ohhh, sweetie, i am so sorry this is happenig. I't's harder on the person waiting than it is on the patient. When you can see little Sophie you'll feel much better. I don't mean to sound harsh but, personally, I wouldn't wait to rehome the other pup. |
So sorry this has happened. I am praying that her eye can be saved!! Keep us posted! I'll be praying!! |
Sending prayers & Angels to Sophie... |
well the vet just called me... they couldn't save her eye. It had to removed. So they stitched it shut and i get to pick her up in about 4 hours. my poor baby...she will be so confused. i feel so bad for her.. i don't know what to do... |
oh britt, i am so sorry. i know your sweet baby will be fine and you will too eventually. But in the meantime, I will be sending prayers your way. God bless you both. |
Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry that happened to your baby (and you) :(. I'll be thinking about Sophie today and hoping that she adjusts quickly! Her depth perception may be off a little now, so she may need extra help jumping on couches, etc... Poor baby...I know she'll be just fine, but I totally understand hurting because you know she's hurting and worrying about her! |
Oh my, I just saw this thread and read thru so quickly hoping for a better outcome and to add my prayers. I'm so very sorry she has lost one eye, and hope she recovers from the surgery and the whole ordeal quickly. And to you, I send my biggest hugs and more prayers to comfort you. That is a lot to go thru. Bless you all! |
i pray she will learn to function without it, im am so verrrry sorry. i am currently waiting to hear if mine has kennel cough and i am panicked so i cant even imagine what your feeling...hugs from bailee and heather!!!!!!!god will take care of you |
I'm sorry. Fortunately these little guys are very adaptive. I'm sure she'll do well, I pray she does well. Keep us updated and give her a big hug from me. |
I am so sorry they could not save her eye. That's so sad, however, I understand they do very well once they get use to it. I am glad she is coming home today. |
Awww man, that sucks that they couldn't save her eye. I'm so sorry :( |
Sorry to hear about this...please give her a big hug and kiss from us...I know it'll take time, but I'm sure she'll adapt and overcome this....one thing she hasn't lost is her unconditional love to you for taking such good care of her...Please give her extra love & attention and that will help her a lot! Big Hugs |
I wish the vet had better news for you, but Sophie is going to be ok. She wont be too confused beacuse the most important thing in her life will be the same when she gets home... your love. |
Oh, poor baby Sophie. I know she will do fine but it is not the outcome we had all prayed for. Give her a squeeze from us. |
Thinking of you and hoping your little one will soon be well, and that she will quickly adapt. |
Oh, I'm so sorry that they couldn't save the eye. I was prepared to tell you about my poodle's eye surgery many years ago - he ended up with a prosthetic eye (not a glass eye but a prosthetic filling inside his own "eyeball skin") - but then I read further and saw that it couldn't be saved. I wish I would have read this sooner because I wonder if the vet could have done that for your pup. My Daxton did just fine though with one eye. He was not even 1 year old when it happened but he already had this quirk about flipping around in circles when he was excited. He always flipped to the left and even after he lost his left eye he continued to do that. I don't think he really knew any difference. We never noticed any difference in his behavior with only one good eye anyway. And he lived a long ~15 more years. Good luck with your baby's recovery. I'll be thinking of ya'll. |
Poor Little Sophie, praying for a speedy recovery for her and you! I'm sure she will readily adjust. |
Darn it! I was so hoping for better news but she will be alright and get to come home to a loving mommy and grandma. She is still a lucky little dog. Believe me, she won't spend a lot of time trying to figure out what's wrong. She'll do fine. What are you going to do about her sister? I hope you can get them both trained to tolerate each other and not be so jealous. I think spaying might actually help. Good luck sweetie. |
