stay still??! okay, well the place i bring maisy for obediance lessons suggested i let maisy sleep with me since she is so lonely all day when i'm at school. well, when i am laying in my bed all she wants to do is play in my bedroom, so i let her for a while thinking she would get bored especially when i dont get up to play WITH her, well that didnt work she just got MORe hyper so i went to get a greenie, that calmed her down and she stayed in bed with me while i slept on and off for about 2 hours, well what do i do after its gone?? she went crazy! i held her for about a half hour and she settled down next to me but then about two hours later i heard her playing in my room again! does anyone have any advice on how to get her to settle down?? |
Wear her out right before bed time. That works for me. I'm lucky because if I sleep Coco sleeps, if I wake up so does she. She didn't used to be like that, I don't know what clicked. but she changed. |
Maisy sounds still pretty young and just wants to play. A full belly and some exersize prior to going to bed might help. ;) As Maisy matures most likely she will settle down a bit. She sounds real cute though, just wanting your attention. :D |
thanks everyone!!! yes maisy is only 4 months..i dont know exactly when they start settling down, but..i am going to clean my room of anything she could get into and replace it with all dog toys for her so she wont get into as much. maybe that will help some..since she is getting into everything while i am asleep!! i bought her a new gate for between my bathroom and bedroom so now i can have my space some in my room while she plays in the bathroom untill i am ready to play..like while i do schoolwork. hopefully we will work this out sooN!!! |
Gus sleeps in a crate at night. In my room, I put the crate on the floor next to my side of the bed and when my husband leaves for work at 2:30 I pick the crate up and put it on his side. In the summer months,,, I sometimes sleep down stairs because it's way cooler. We have one of those couch and chase sectional. So his crate is right above my head. I started this when he was a puppy because he was so tiny, and I was scared of rolling over on him. Now that he is full grown. He stood very small. (2.9 lbs) but I feel he is much begger then when he was a puppy, and I want him to sleep with me, but he loves it in his crate and feels so comfie with his warm soft blanket in the crate. He will take naps with me but at night he has to be in his crate. Mybe a crate next to you will help. |
