Pepe is being neutered in the morning and I am a nervous wreck!!! So, I have to drop him off at 7:30am and I can pick him up til 5pm and I am sooooo worried. |
although it's easier said than done, try not to worry. p-nut was neutered a week before thanksgiving and i tried really hard not to stress about it and was able to make it through the day, haha. i'm sure he'll be just fine and back to his usual self quickly :) |
my little girl went to the vets last week to be nutered like your baby i got a phone call from the vets an hour later my heart stopped but it was to tell me thatwhile she was asleep they shaved her and realised that she was haveing a phantom pregnency so they couldnt do the op and iv got to take her again in the new year :animal-pa:animal-pa |
I am going to try not to worry and keep my self busy tommorow....I was going to set up his play pen and stuff tonight...but I think I will wait until tommorow this way I can clean up and set up a nice comfy area for him when he somes home tommorow...I am also going to wash some of my daughters old onsies so I have plenty to keep on him til his incision heals :) I trust my vet, so I am sure he will be fine I have just read to many horror stories while I was researching the procedure. |
I am sure he will be just fine...maybe you can get some shopping done to keep your mind off things.....praying for a speedy recovery!!!! Jackson:aimeeyork Gracie:aimeeyork Tucker:aimeeyork Rosey:aimeeyork Abigayle:aimeeyork |
awww I know how scary it is.....but you'll be picking him up before you know it!! Keep us updated! |
Is scary, just tell them to be careful with the anestesia ask any ??? that you have in your mind:aimeeyork |
Ok...so everything went great..he is doing so much better then I expected! Saturday when I picked him up it was a lot of work to get him to take it easy...I guess the anestesia still had him feeling no pain so he was hyper....sunday he calmed down a lot. Today he is just laying around resting :) |

Does he need to wear an E-collar? |
No e-collar he tried to lick and I gave him a firm No and I haven't seen him try since....when I cant watch him I keep in a onsie and that seems to work. I do have one concern he seems to be straining to poop and dragging his butt on the floor...he ate twice yesterday and hasn't gone yet...I am going to give it a lil more time and then call the vet. Has anyone else experienced this? |
Hi. My baby just got neutered a a few days ago. He was really groggy and appeared drunk on the day that he was brought home. He did not eat or drink at all. The second day was better for him because he was eating and drinking water. He also had time to harass our jack russell. So funny. Anyway, he went number two in the house which he rarely does but he just wouldn't go potty when I took out outside. Other than that I havent seen any big changes in him. |
I went home to check on him a few times today and he seems to be much better....he ate breakfast and lunch...he still has not had a bowel movement other then that he is acting normal....so all is well....i am glad you lil one is doing well also :) |
My baby is doing fine. Thank you. I'm happy tohear your is doing fine as well. These little ones, oh, it's so hard not to worry!:D |
Has he not had a bowel movement since he was neutered or just today? Either way I think I'd be nervous and check with the vet. |
I called and they said it was probably a side effect form the anestesia (SP?) On the 16th he wen a lil and now he seems to be back to normal I am soooo glad! Evrything is healing nicely...now I just can't wait to be able to give him a bath :) |
