Any new information you can give us? How is your baby doing today? |
Today we slept in pretty late but after the incident I've noticed she hasn't growl or bark. She normally growls when we play tug-a-war and I've tried playing with her last night but no sound! I thought that was odd too. But today, she growled at me when we were playing..which is a good sign to me. I haven't noticed any odd behavior since. I'm hoping it was nothing. Bella is currently at my sister's house since I'm working late but they've been told to keep an extra eye out for any odd behaviors. My boyfriend thinks I should wait on the vet check especially when we spent $700 for a cough Bella had that went away on it's own. I'm still a little worried though. Might just end up calling the vet tomorrow  |
It sounds like she could have an inner ear problem as well. Check her hearing...the not responding and the no barking and no growling could indicate hearing problems. The dizziness and all the other symptoms could be related to an inner ear problem. Hope she is okay. I understand about the vet it would be nice if they didn't charge so much. |

This was my thought as well..an ear infection could absolutely disorient her and throw off her balance, but the fact that she was stiffening up and the heavy breathing?...definitely call and consult with yer vet. Poor baby. :( |
Definately call your vet. My 14 y.o cat was experiencing similar symptoms that progressively got worse over time and I thought it was an ear infection. Unfortunately she began having severe seizures before I got her to the vet and couldn't come out of them. Mild seizures could be caused by any number of things (you mentioned a cough), could be do to infection. Good luck! |
