Yorkie Question
 
So, I'm new here. I have a Teacup Yorkie. Little boy named Sammie he's 2 years 6 months old. I notice sometimes when he lays down and chews on his toy(s) he makes this little whine noise, does this mean he's lonely? Wants a girlfriend? Help!:animal-pa

Hi & welcome to YT, First of all you do know how we feel about the "teacup" phrase being used for yorkies. I am not sure about you little boy but 2 is always better than 1:D

LOL Yeah, I say Teacup because it's smaller than the stardard yorkie. Yes, 2 is better than one, lol.

I think he wants a buddy. By the way I dont see anything wrong with people using the term teacup it just defines size

He lives with a huge black lab, but she's way bigger than him. I'm starting to think he's getting sad, he doesn't have a little friend like himself. I think my fiance and I are going to have to get him a little yorkie girlfriend here soon.

Anyone else have a opinion on my question? It would be helpful. Thank's in advance.

I think getting a friend for your yorkie is a great idea, I however think that if your going to get another yorkie and it is a female you get her spayed unless you have experience in breeding. But good luck!

So you think this whining thing is lonely? I mean, he lives with a black lab, that's huge is that not enough for a little yorkie? He needs a little friend his size, same breed? I'm starting to get sad and feel like I should have bought 2 yorkies to begin with. :(

We don't plan on spaying the little girl until we make them once first.

Do you think that the whining may be a sign of how much he's enjoying the chew toy, or frustration with the chew toy? Since you say toys, it would more likely be the former than the latter. Regardless, I don't see it as an indication that he needs a Yorkie playmate. Not that that's a bad thing.

Not sure if you know a lot about breeding, but, once you use your male to breed, he will most likely than not, start marking all over your house.

I would get a male friend. When a girl is around the boys like to mark all over your house...Same sex or spay or neuter...Good luck to that little fella...
