AKC papers
 
I purchased a Yorkie puppy from a lady. who breeds and shows yorkies (recommended by a friend of mine who also shows and breeds dogs). This woman told me that she'd mail the AKC papers to me. She is a member of this forum, gave me 4 ways to reach her but hasn't sent the papers yet. I have her work number, left a msg, her cell phone, her e-mail (which I understand is down) and sent her a note but to no avail. I have tried to contact her over a period of 4 months. Do I have any other choices and would the AKC help. It's the principle of the thing. The puppy is neutered but I want to name her AKC. I know who her parents are and the line down. My friend told me that this lady "has a lot on her plate" but that was months ago. Thanks for your help. Judy

I had the same problem about a year ago when I purchased Jezebel. It took over five months for me to get her papers. What finally worked was threating to contact the Better Business Bureau in the sellers area and take her to court for breach of a contract, within two week I had my papers.

I am so sorry to here about this. I agree with the other that you might resort to being rude and that might get her attention.

Oh i all but know how that is you pay the price for your furbaby and then for god sake you never get your papers so now I dont get the baby unless they have the papers.. you can order them right after they are born so there is no reason for them not to have them when you give them the money for your babies.. No reason what so ever,,:rolleyes:

If she has so much on her plate, she should not have sold you a yorkie, that she would be unable to get the papers to you, that's very rude, and not on the up and up. I personally would be pissed, about this, if she's on this site, send her a private message.

I agree... 4 months is a long time to wait for papers. That is something that you should've had at the time of purchase. Unless she has been stricken with extremely bad health...there's just no excuse. You mentioned that shes a member here... has she been on lately? If so, maybe sending her a PM might help...

Did you have a contract stating that she would mail you the AKC papers? If so then AKC will probably give them to you without her approval if you mail or fax them the bill of sale and a contract saying that. Is she is NC? If so I have a feeling I might know who you're talking about...
