Matting from wearing a sweater? Since it's getting colder, I've been having Daisy wear a cute pink sweater. Unfortunately, I've been finding more mats in her hair and I'm guessing that the sweater is tangling her hair inside no matter how many times I keep brushing her. Either that or the cold weather is just drying out her skin more. Anyone else having matting problems associated with their pup wearing clothes? |
Yes Max is having the same problem, hope someone can help. What a mess:eek::eek: |
Static mess I was just going to post a similar question. I dread putting sweaters or anything on Kiki because the minute I take it off it is one big "static" mess with matts. I brush her before with some conditioning spray and brush immediately after I take off the clothing but it still takes forever to untangle. I think it has more to do with the static of the hair rubbing under the fabric in the cold weather. I attempted to make a satin tshirt to put under her sweaters but it wasn't the best fit. Does anyone on YT make satin or silk undershirts or satin lined clothing? Anna Dog profile for Kiki, a female Yorkshire Terrier |
My Edie has this problem. It's so bad that I don't let her wear clothes. When we lived in Maine, she wore a coat just to go outside. We took it off as soon as we went in. |
Biggie had this problem the past couple weeks. He shivers so much though..I can't stand not putting a sweater on him. I had to brush out and actually cut off some of his knots this weekend. I have been trying to brush him every day..I typically don't do this since he has the puppy cut. |
this is why miss buffey got a puppy cut :( i mean she looks adorable but i wish i could keep her hair long :( it is very soft but not silky so it mats super easy...i knew with wintertime coming up that she would need to wear sweaters so i bucked up and took her to the groomers lol ever since i got her cut, i can put her in dresses, sweaters, coats, etc with no problem...i know this does not help those of you who want to keep their babies hair long but this worked for us :) |
