How often do you get them groomed? How often do you get your Yorkies groomed? I would like to keep my little guy's fur short and not grow real long (I'm getting him this weekend) How often would you say to get him groomed? |
Every 3 months |
Every couple of months. |
We groom Sapphire once a month. We give her more baths than that, though. We clip her nails once a month, and trim her fur once every month or two. |
i had miss buffey groomed for the first time in october i think...her next appt is coming up again soon (i think! i need to call them :p ) ... i think she would be fine every 3-4 months her hair is pretty short - she has a "puppy cut" :) |
we do it every 6 weeks and also we clip their nails and etc in between grooming. |
I haven't gotten Kingston groomed yet, that's coming up this month! His first hair cut... *sniff sniff* :p |
Thanks for the quick replies :) |
I keep my Lillybug in a short cut. I'm sure Yorkie's coats grow different so it'll just depend on how fast your babies hair grows. Lilly hasn't had a full groom for 2 months and her hair is getting pretty rough lookin'. I took her last month & just did a half groom where they trimmed up her lady bits and nails and all that good stuff and bathed her. I try to bathe her every week. So, I'd say you could go 2 months at the most without your pup looking rough, or if your baby ends up having a slow growing coat, it could be much much longer. You'd still need to do their nails or have them done though. |
On our own We had ours groomed mid October and she was starting to get shaggy so we bought an at home groomer and did a little trimming so that she could go a bit longer before going again. We will probably get her groomed again in January. |
Every 6 weeks and weekly baths. We love our groomer and they have short haircuts that grow out quickly :) |
Hi, I have them groomed every 6-7 weeks. Monday could go longer; but after 8 weeks, Friday starts to look like a Pomeranian. Hope this helps you, but as you can see, each baby is different. |
