i have to agree- 500-2000+ depends on the area- usually females are more than males- usually the smaller they are the more they are (can be good or bad- if marketed as a "tea cup" don't buy it- however some breeders charge more for the smaller ones because they may need further health costs compared to a good size yorkie)

Layla was 1000.

You know, you would think if they sell them (the small ones) for more, because they may end up costing more in the long run, that they would sell them for less..I never could understand that one.But, the prices everyone is giving(to the OP) sound about right. Here, most of them are in the $500-$1000 range, but, also with the economy, some people are selling them for less as they're having a hard time selling them..

They can range from as others say 500-2,000 even 2,500. Either way it goes just make sure you really do your research on breeders.Just because the puppy may have a huge adoption fee does not mean it will be the quality yorkie you may want.

When I was looking for a puppy I found the prices varied from £200 - £1000, with the females being slightly more expensive. I was looking for a pet so champion lines were not important to me (even though the pups were exquisite!), and I bought Twinkle for £350. Her breeder sold her to me for the same price as the male pups because it was clear she would be larger than standard. She is KC registered but I won't get her papers until she is spayed. xxx
