need some advice on food. i am getting my yorkie in a week & i am needing some advice on what food is best to feed him. i dont want to feed him cheap food, i want something that will be good for him. the breeder i am getting him from currently has him on science diet and said i can change him if i want. what do ya'll suggest? this is my first yorkie & i want him to be healthy. |
Hi Eukanuba is good food to feed. My 3 yorkies love it. |
I wouldn't feed Eukanuba or Science Diet. Here is a great site with dogfood reviews. I feed Go Natural Grain-Free. Hope that helps! Dog Food Reviews - Main Index - Powered by ReviewPost |
We use Chicken Soup for the Puppy Lover's Soul, both dry and wet. Pretty good stuff. |
I'm a breeder and I use Life's Abundance which is a Premium Health Food. |
I'm switching Breyli to the honest kitchen's embark food. It is a dehydrated raw pet food and she seems to like it. The website is: thehonestkitchen.com and if you call they will send you a free sample. For kibble, i like chicken soup for the puppy's soul... again, if you contact them they will send samples! |
oh... and you may want to check out the health and diet board. There is a sticky list of foods there. |
I use checken soup for the puppy lovers soul also. |
how much does the chicken soup for the pet lovers cost? |
I buy the chicken soup for the puppy lovers soul and pay about $7-8 for a small bag..pups love it! |
I bought the 5 pound bag for about $20. It is not one of the most expensive foods compared to the other high quality foods. Check out their website for local retailers near you. |
I am currently feeding Chicken Soup but am going to switch to Nature Balance when i am done...but imo is whatever your dog will eat is good...Yorkie are known to be picky eaters...so you may have to go thru several different food before they actually will like something...hehe..i am glad none of mine are that picky. |
